Is Pinot Grigio the Best DRY White Wine EVER ?

I just wondering. Someone at my Work Christmas Lunch, said that is it considered to be the best.
And is there one in particular ?
Which country, which supermarket stocks it, how much - details please ?

aah yes - Macon villages or a white rioja....

And white wine isn't even my favourite - I like the other kind - red.
