It's beef mince.

I have some peppers, carrots celery, spices, pulses, broccoli, onions etc.

Any suggestions?

Tacos
Meatballs

Or just cook it and serve it with new potatoes

IndanthroneBlue · 15/07/2021 16:24

A Keema curry, if you've got some Indian spices? I'm veggi but often do a Keema with veggi mince, if you've got any frozen peas they go nice with it.

CiaoForNiao · 15/07/2021 16:25

Keema (it's meant to be lamb mince I think but I use beef.

Nachos/enchiladas/fajita things.

Burger in a bowl...you just chuck it on top of a bed of lettuce, red onion, tomatoes, gerkins then top with some cheese and some burger sauce 😊

LaurieSchafferIsAllBitterNow · 15/07/2021 16:27

if you have pastry you could go for a pie/ steak bake affair...althought tbf that's not wildly different

burgers? Nice buns salad and all that
koftes? feta, cous cous, salad all shoved in a pitta

oooh or there's a rice and peas and minced beef biryani affair...it's not called biryani though, I'll go see if I can find a recipe

Notgoingonholiday · 15/07/2021 16:27

Pastitsio is amazing but you'd need a few different ingredients.

LaurieSchafferIsAllBitterNow · 15/07/2021 16:27

OnTheBrink1 · 15/07/2021 16:29

Homemade burgers.
Put an egg, handful of Parmesan, garlic, salt, pepper and Worcester sauce if you have it into a bowl.
Squidge it together to mix it with a clean hand.
Roll into balls and fry.
Really lovely

Fajitas

Tacos, sloppy joes, burritos, empanadas, burgers, kofte kababs, pie, keema. Probably kebabs are the quickest, and really nice if you've got some yoghurt to serve with them.

BeastOfBODMAS · 15/07/2021 16:33

Anyone else brought up on the Sunday Post? They often padded out the Women's Page with a feature called New Ways with Mince. Grin I'm afraid I can't remember any of them now. I grew up on mince and tatties, which my Mum makes to perfection, but it's probably not to everyone's taste. Effectively it's mince, onions, water, all stewed together with a stock cube and thickened with a little Bisto. My Mum uses steak mince.

Another option not mentioned yet is meatloaf. You can pad the meat out with finely chopped vegetables, breadcrumbs and possibly cooked lentils. Add some herbs/spices for extra flavour.

CatherinedeBourgh · 15/07/2021 16:35

moussaka

Evergibbon · 15/07/2021 16:35

Dammit was just going to say meatloaf. Love it

Gensola · 15/07/2021 16:37

Moussaka? My absolute fave

Xmasbaby11 · 15/07/2021 16:37

Meatballs or burgers. Meatballs are more effort but so nice!

TheAwfuITruth · 15/07/2021 16:38

Yeah meatloaf with a spicy tomato sauce and charred broccoli

Another vote for meatloaf:

BBQ meatballs. My children are addicted to them and they're great the next day in a pita bread too.

I wouldn't do bobotie, very disappointing.

TheBestSpoon · 15/07/2021 16:41

Crispy chilli beef - along the lines of this, but I reckon you could simplify it down to match what you have in: www.gousto.co.uk/cookbook/beef-recipes/crispy-chilli-beef-coriander-noodles

Bagelsandbrie · 15/07/2021 16:45

Dan Dan noodles. Taste better with pork (sausage meat) but can be done with normal mince.
