Great. I knew MN would deliver. I'm heading towards the burritos.

Nigella's meatza was popular here. (Pizza with a baked mince base.)

There is a sort of South African dish (a little like a Moussaka but sweet and savoury) - called Bobotie. I have a low carb version of the recipe with mince + garlic/spices/ chopped cranberries and chia seeds topped with a savoury custard of eggs/cream/turmeric and nuts.

Cottage pie, shepherd's pie is lamb Grin. Sorry couldn't resist, to actually answer the question I'll cast another vote for keema (with spinach!) or stuffed peppers, burritos, chilli nachos.

Veg and beef mince cooked with onion and
Mixed with gravy on the top. Quick and cheap meal

You've probably cooked it by now but our favourite is a Gousto recipe, Sticky Chilli Beef Burritos.

They take about ten minutes to cook and the whole family love them Smile

spinningspaniels · 18/07/2021 20:29

Our current favourite is savoury mince with onions, peppers, celery, carrots, garlic and tinned tomatoes with thyme, parsley and lots of pepper. Then top with savoury cobblers (like little scones) and bake in the oven. Perfect with tenderstem broccoli and baby corn.

Marzetti :)
I had a friend make it for me once and called it Russian mince. I only found out recently that it was most likely Marzetti. There is numerous recipes for it online but I done a simplified version. It does sound very odd and a bit lazy but it was such a winner in our house.
I boiled some pasta. Browned some mince. Added an onion and garlic to the mince. Poured in a tin of condensed mushroom soup and a tin of condensed tomato soup and let it simmer until the pasta was cooked. Added all together then served with a little grated cheese on top and garlic bread. Yum!
