Think we're having Easy Lamb Biryani. DD is super fussy but has actually asked for this so there's a chance she'll eat it. It's a small chance but a chance is good Smile

Pesto pasta, possibly with chicken if DH hasn't eaten it all. Easy meal as I'm taking the kids out soon.

Harrykanesrightsock · 06/07/2021 14:46

Dd is making chicken and mushroom pie with vegetables

APurpleSquirrel · 06/07/2021 14:54

Homemade version of Zizzi's Casareccie Pollo Picante but with spirali pasta instead.

shumway · 06/07/2021 14:58

@QforCucumber we keep a phonetic alphabet at work of the ones customers have used. My all time favourite is Q for Cucumber Smile

Jacket Potato with butter, cheese, lettuce and onion and spicy breaded chickenSmile

Goneback2school · 06/07/2021 19:28

Lasagne, made 2 yesterday so I wouldn't have to cook today. Of course I have fussy children who won't eat it so one had the meat sauce over a baked potato and the other had ricotta, mushroom and truffle ravioli.

MirandaMarple · 06/07/2021 20:17

Chicken gyros, homemade flatbread and onions on the BBQ (dodged the rain - just)

Oven chips with oregano and feta, tzatiki and tomatoes.

MadMadMadamMim · 06/07/2021 20:45

@BunnyRuddington

The biryani sounds nice do you have a link to the recipe

It won't let me link but it's a Gousto recipe. If you Google "Gousto Easy Lamb Biryani" it should come up Smile

Well my something with chicken breasts turned out to be this Biryani, but with chicken and it was EXCELLENT!

Good call, OP. Smile

BunnyRuddington · 06/07/2021 22:02

Glad you liked it Mad. We don’t have it that often but we all enjoy it when we do Smile

I’m from the south west (Wiltshire) and all my family always eat tea in the early evening. We still live in the south west and the kids say it’s common among their friends too.

We had hot dogs (well normal sausages rather than Frankfurters) with onions, mustard and a mixed salad and rather a lot of beer and crisps in front of the telly watching the football.

BashStreet1 · 11/07/2021 09:54

I made that Gousto lamb biriyani last night and it was absolutely lovely- thank you for the suggestion!

It was that rare kind of meal- something all the kids really liked!

That’s exactly why we have it, I’m just sick of DDs moaning!

Tonight we’re having Cornish Pasty Pie from a Pinch of Nom which they all enjoy as well. To be honest though, we don’t bother with the lattice top, we just put a sheet of ready rolled flaky pastry on top Smile
