Favourite DIY baguette fillings?

What are your favourite baguette fillings you make at home? I really fancy a baguette for lunch but fillings like ham and cheese or tuna mayo are boring!

I love either Parma ham or Serrano with lots of mayo. Makes me feel like I’m on holiday.

Also, some mustard on a naice ham and cheese baguette can really elevate it.

Yes parma ham with mozzarella and tomatoes, spread the baguette with pesto

Or

Avocado smashed up with crispy bacon and a little bit of mayo

Roast chicken, bacon and avocado or melty Brie. Or chicken Caesar. Or a great ploughman’s with strong cheddar cheese, red onion, salad and pickle.

Chicken breast, mayo, stuffing and sweetcorn.

Or really nice ham and pickle small chunk.

I'm happy with tuna, peppers,red onion and melted cheese

This is making me super hungry! Also dinner inspiration, great thread!

Favourite baguette fillings:

• Bacon and chicken Mayo 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽
• Cheese and ham plain and delicious
• bacon, pesto and feta

Green pesto, spinach, sun dried tomatoes, salami and mozerella. It's better on ciabatta but I'd go for baguette

Prawns and Marie Rose sauce. I get soooo excited when I go for a pub lunch and see that they have baguettes with that. With some cucumber or iceberg lettuce for crunch.

Ooh yes. Pret do a prosciutto baguette and not being able to eat it while I was pregnant was one of the worst things about being pregnant!

Lovely butter, really good off the bone ham and cornichons.

Pastrami, Gouda, Russian dressing, sauerkraut

Parma ham, pesto, mozzarella and ripe tomatoes.

Goat cheese, rocket, pine nuts and pomegranate molasses.

Brie and grape, preferably white grapes.

Feta cheese, olives and sun dried tomatoes. Having it at home means I can drizzle with balsamic vinegar and not get stared at for making a mess.

OP, do you mean a proper French baguette, or one of those over-sized crusty rolls that many shops pass off as a baguette?

I do a terribly bad for you one with crisp grilled bacon and blue cheese, slammed back under the grill so the cheese melts and goes all oozy.

I only allow myself to have it about twice a year but it is lovely...

Brie and black grapes.

Roast beef, rocket and horseradish.

Tuna mayo and cheese is my favorite baguette filling, but I also love roasted veg and garlic, topped with feta cheese.

Warm tandoori chicken mini fillets, shredded iceberg, cucumber, mango chutney, yoghurt and mint dressing.

Scampi. Or falafel.

I buy part baked baguettes and fill with onion chutney, cheese and whatever meat we have. Wrap in foil and bake in oven for 20 mins , nice and crispy baguette

Gammon or chicken with mayo mixed with wholegrain mustard and salad.

Hot sausages or roast beef with fried onions served with a gravy dip (I find Bisto Best Chicken instant gravy is fine for the job).

Caramelised red onions, rare roast beef and blue cheese with rocket.
