Favourite DIY baguette fillings?

What are your favourite baguette fillings you make at home? I really fancy a baguette for lunch but fillings like ham and cheese or tuna mayo are boring!

Tuna with chilli and garlic, melted cheese, spinach, chilli jam and a squirt of Mayo to finish off. Bloody gorgeous.

Fish fingers, lettuce and beetroot.

Brie, grape and cranberry

Cheddar and pickle

Mozzarella tomato and avocado basil

Prawn and Mayo or seafood sauce

Home made egg mayo with crispy lettuce.

Good ham, good French, sea salt crystal, butter.

Cream cheese, Stilton and celery.
You have to chop the celery quite thinly but it gives the most amazing crunch. I mix the cream cheese til it’s softer and then crumble the cheese in so it’s almost like a spread. INCREDIBLE on a warm baguette.

Still warm fresh egg mayo

Add bacon if desired

Meatballs (or fakeballs in my case) in tomato sauce with melted mozzarella.

Brie, caramelised walnuts, fig paste, rocket.

Crumbed calamari (again, fake for me), aoili, lettuce.

I’m vegan these days but used to love
Hallumi and chilli jam
Brie, basil and tomato
Goats cheese, pesto, sundried tomato and rocket

Bacon, lettuce (has to be crisp iceberg) and tomato with lashings of Mayo

Turkey/chicken, bacon and Mayo
Roast beef, onions and horseradish
Boursin and red grapes

Home baked baguette, President salted butter, French torchon ham, speadable St Agur.
Smoked bacon, grated cheddar melted on top.
Medium rare sirloin steak, finely sliced with horseradish.
Tuna mayonaise, with tartare sauce and finely sliced vine tomatoes.

I have ham with a mix of cheddar and mozzarella with some ranch dressing, then put it in the panini press. Also have homemade egg mayonnaise with lots or onion or spring onion through it, but put a little ranch dressing on your baguette before spreading the filling!

@Snowpaw omg the leftover Bolognese sounds AMAZING, drooling over the thought of that right now 🤤

I find adding some mango chutney and a sprinkle of feta cheese elevates my normal fillings.
