Best home made pizza toppings

We’ve recently started ‘homemade pizza night’ but have been sticking to our favourite toppings (cheese and tomato for DS, goats cheese / parma ham / rocket or antipasti meats / sliced cheese / chilli for adults...)

Fancy trying something different but lacking in creativity and ideas so please tell me - what are your favourite toppings / combinations ?

Prawns. I don’t know if that’s weird, but that’s what I like!
DH makes stuffed crust pizzas with hot dog sausages, they are excellent.

That sounds lovely. Chicken and bacon.
Pesto mozarrela and tomato

M&S deli pots of marinated peppers and pesto marinated mozzarella balls. Recommended:chefs kiss:

A couple of my favourites are chorizp, mozzarella, garlic and chilli; spanakopita.

Sticky BBQ chicken; leftover pulled pork.

Olives, red onion, sweet pepper and pepperoni/ham or chicken

Red onions and goats cheese

Pesto, sun. Dried tomatoes, mozzarella pearls and chicken

Garlic Mushrooms

Roasted Mediterranean veg and goats cheese

Brie, bacon, left over Xmas turkey and pigs in blankets (aka the boxing day special)

Black olives, anchovies, pepperoni slices, mushrooms and green peppers. Artichoke hearts in oil. Asparagus and smoked salmon.

I usually smother mine in olives, red onion, sweet pepper, mushrooms & mozarella.

Tuna, gherkins and pineapple

Wild mushrooms lightly cooked in garlic butter, then added with small dollops of mascarpone. Perhaps some basil and black olives, then a sprinkling of mozzarella.

Oh my god I really need pizza now.

Any pizza I have needs to have olives and anchovies, oregano and rocket. I also like pepperoni, mushrooms ham and onion. Not keen on mozzarella.

Caramelised onion jam on the base, walnuts, blue cheese, pear

Sweat sliced onions & red peppers in garlic: olive oil till soft & sweet....
Add tuna, Olives, capers, goat cheese... cook. Top with rocket & balsamic 🍕🍕🍕

Really thin base, rich tomato sauce ( not too much), buffalo Mozzarella, garlic...lots and lots of garlic, Extra virgin olive oil, then once cooked, Rocket and shaved parmesan. Simple and delicious

Have you tried mascarpone instead of mozzarella? My Italian teacher told me about it. Pizza base, tomato puree, mix mascarpone with a little milk to make it spreadable, speck and basil leaves. I added thinly slices red onion. I used to take it to Italian class to shar, it's no wonder I didn't learn much Italian except for "vorrei una pizza per favore"

I also like jar artichokes, olives and anchovies on a pizza with mozzarella.

Artichoke hearts, asparagus, capers, olives, mushrooms together are yum

Gig, blue cheese and caramelised onion

Goats cheese, roast chicken, bacon, left over kebab meat, pulled pork of beef brisket, pineapple, sweetcorn. Not all on at the same time though!!

The left over donner meat is a bit dirty, but it uses it up and means I don't feel obliged to over eat when we get a takeaway if there's only a wee bit left. We just stick it in the freezer. Most pizza meats freeze well, we have a whole collection of them!

Haynes candied jalapeños, hot honey and n’duja. Delicious!

I’m boring - onions, green peppers, mushroom tonnes of cheese and jalapeños. Or goats cheese and spinach. Someone’s an egg and spinach.

Bolognese. Make a spag bol and use the leftover bol as a pizza topping the next day, with a bit of mozzarella on top.
