Leftover lasagne from New Year's Eve that has been in the fridge since then.

Would you eat it today?

No - it was made 5 days ago.

minniemoll · 04/01/2020 11:04

It'll be fine, I'd eat it up to a week later....

ShagMeRiggins · 04/01/2020 11:05

Absolutely I’d eat it.

alwaysmovingforwards · 04/01/2020 11:05

If it smells ok, I'd eat it.

INeedNewShoes · 04/01/2020 11:40

Thanks for your responses. I'm erring towards eating it.

Meat lasagne - no.
Vegetable lasagne - yes, provided it has been in the fridge the whole time.

TheCanterburyWhales · 04/01/2020 11:44

No.
And I'm in Italy where dh, a chef, regales me joyously about how restaurants make one batch of sauce a month and just top it up every so often.

Doje · 04/01/2020 12:07

Yeah, I'd eat it.

MiddleClassProblem · 04/01/2020 12:14

Yup

Ninkanink · 04/01/2020 12:17

Yes, it’ll be absolutely fine.

blackcat86 · 04/01/2020 12:21

No. I wouldn't risk it. Food poisoning is horrible and best avoided.

inwood · 04/01/2020 12:24

No. 3 days is my limit.

Frenchfancy · 04/01/2020 12:25

Yes. Up to à week if fridged

PerfectPeaches · 04/01/2020 12:28

Yes eat it

BillieEilish · 04/01/2020 12:32

Absolutely!

crustycrab · 04/01/2020 12:35

Yeah, just make sure it's piping hot

ThunderboltandLightning · 04/01/2020 12:36

Yes. Bet the lasagne you buy in supermarkets has more than a 5 day shelf life.

Marmite27 · 04/01/2020 12:36

Yes.

PenelopeFlintstone · 04/01/2020 12:46

Yep

FelicityBeedle · 04/01/2020 12:48

Yep enjoy!

Babyg1995 · 04/01/2020 12:48

No I wouldn't but I know someone who makes a chicken last a week and there fine haha .

FamilyOfAliens · 04/01/2020 12:53

Yes, of course it has. It’s been prepared and packaged under controlled conditions in a factory so that it lasts longer.

A homemade lasagne isn’t the same at all.

Ambrose2 · 04/01/2020 12:56

I always limit to 3 days, 2 for chicken, but I err on the side of caution having had terrible food poisoning in the past.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 04/01/2020 13:49

I would.

Serin · 04/01/2020 16:13

No chance.
Next time freeze the leftovers.
