Now that I've mastered instant pot porridge on a delayed start - How do you eat yours? What do you have on/mixed into it.

I'm bored of banana and blueberries.

Cook it with hot chocolate powder and add microwaved satsuma pieces and seeds to the top afterwards. Delicious.

Cook it with almond essence and frozen cherries - like bakewell. Or chocolate powder and cherries - black forest!

Another vote for Nutella!

For healthier days, frozen fruit added during cooking is always good. Grated apple is nice but messy.

Not a recommendation, but when my son said rude things about the porridge i made him one morning - I added marmite to it the next morning.

Salt. And eat it outside, standing up with a horn spoon facing east.

Chopped dried figs!. Perfect on their own as pretty sweet but can add a bit of honey as well.

Raspberries, sugar and a splash of Elmlea.

Lulu1919 · 15/11/2019 17:47

A spoonful of peanut butter mixed in and a drizzle of honey

SallyOMalley · 15/11/2019 17:49

I like it relatively simple: maple syrup and cinnamon.

billy1966 · 15/11/2019 17:57

@sally
Exactly. Yum.

A spoonful of proper peanut butter, two spoonfuls of mixed seeds (pumpkin, sesame and sunflower), mix thoroughly, then top with peaches, blueberries and raspberries - yummy!

Gertrudesgarden · 15/11/2019 19:29

Golden syrup and toasted seeds

sydslife · 15/11/2019 19:45

Peanut butter and honey. Or sometimes instead of normal milk I use chocolate soya milk which makes a lovely chocolate flavoured porridge, and it's still healthy. Mmmmm I'm craving it now!
