Saturday night dinner- whatcha having?

Come on then Mumsnet, what scrummy Saturday night dinners are we all having?

We've got chicken in a bun which has been marinated in Reggae Reggae sauce, homemade slaw and some cold beers (milk for the DC!).

Last night's Indian takeaway which I didn't eat because I had to take DD2 to the ooh doctor ( she's ok).

Prawn cocktail, with a whole bag of prawns since Dd has gone out.

Cajun chicken salad, with spiced cauliflower and pickled beetroot. Sound weird but is actually divine.

We"ve got pork meatballs in creamy chilli sauce and pasta. Though I think we may all be full of popcorn anyway!

Chicken pie which turned into a hotpot type thing as I cba to make pastry and broccoli.

Followed by mango, kiwi and grapes.

Thai green chicken curry. My DP was having a snooze about half an hour ago and I'm starving. He takes ages to cook something I can knock up in half an hour because he's always back and fore to his kindle killing zombies!

We’ve got sausages from the nice butcher in town and yummy cheesy mash and peas. Followed by stroopwafels DH brought back from his work trip this week.

Leftovers!

DH is having leftover chilli cottage pie, I’m having leftover chilli on a jacket with salad.

Then scones with leftover clotted cream and popcorn for movie watching tonight.

Chicken korma ready meal. Luxuriating in having the house to myself.

Chinese takeaway!

Rich beef casserole with carrots, celery, tomatoes, red wine and stock. Gussied up mash with Parmesan cheese and sautéed spring onions. It's chilly here!
Raspberries with yoghurt, flaked almonds and honey for dessert.

Pizza 🍕, fizzy pop then hardbody for afters whilst watching black panther with my DC

Chilli with rice and salad. Honeycomb ice cream for after.

Steak and eggs with roasted potatoes.
I've been on the fast800 all week so I'm going to mainline the potatoes.

Well dh and the kids had McDonald's.
I was planning on heating some bolognese from the freezer for me but it turned out to just be tomato sauce so I chucked some bacon, chillis, capers and olives in its very nice but I think I over did the chilli a bit!

Dosas.

I made the dosa batter yesterday, and made sambar, a coriander chutney, have a lime pickle at the ready and just waiting til the OH rolls in from the footie to make the potato masala and we are in business.

Roast salmon with crispy crumb and za’atar topping, oven potatoes, beetroot slaw with tahini orange dressing, and zhoug (spicy herb salsa). Mmmmmmmmm

The dosa sound amazing sackrifice

A vegetarian mixed bean chilli with rice, and toppings of coriander, lime, sour cream, spring onions, avocado and grated cheddar.

(we are not veggies but this is lovely.)

Bass fillets and stir fry noodles, lots of veg in with the noodle. Bass cooked with fresh ginger and plenty of spice.

All this food sounds amazing. Lazy here, Asda extra special pizzas and Prosecco once kids in bed. I'm starving

Tom Kerridges Turkey and courgette meatballs with tomato tagliatelle - yum !

DC are making nachos.
