What is the most cinnamon tasting thing I can buy?

I love cinnamon (sweet cinnamon) but I can't find any cakes/pastries/cookies that are cinnamon enough. You know the filling in a cinnamon swirl? I want the whole thing to taste like that x 10.

In this age of salted caramel and red velvet and hibiscus drizzle, has anyone found a product that made them say "No. That is too much cinnamon."? If so, please advise so I can purchase it.

Fireball whiskey. It’s very strong cinnamon

Cinnamon buns from Gail’s are delicious if you have one near you (might be London only? I’m not sure).
The problem is some have more cinnamon than others so you might need to eat several to be sure to get the best.

The UK does not do cinnamon properly! It’s a pet peeve of mine. Are you near these ships: Tiger, Hema or Sacandinavian Kitchen? They do cinnamon products. (Although not always, more so at christmas) If you aren’t near those I would go online and find Scandi or American recipes and bake your own. God I love cinnamon! No idea why the UK is so anti cinnamon. It’s the best!

NotStayingIn · 12/04/2019 22:25

Oh yes, the Gail’s cinnamon bun is great!

NotStayingIn · 12/04/2019 22:26

Ships = shops. Doh!

Isitmybathtimeyet · 12/04/2019 22:26

The 'bake your own' cinnamon buns you can buy in many supermarkets are quite cinnamonny.

These are amazing

A jar of cinnamon.
I like to make eggy bread, fried in lovely butter, with lots of sugar and cinnamon.
It's healthy, because it has egg in it. ☺️

Go to The Hard Rock Hotel in Universal Studios, Florida.

The sticky cinnamon buns on the breakfast buffet are beyond belief.

thefirstmrsdewinter · 12/04/2019 22:31

I agree w pp that the UK doesn't do cinnamon properly. Op I think you may have to make your own cinnamon buns and just double or treble the cinnamon in them (I do this with pumpkin pie).

I love cinnamon gum.

AlfieandAnnieRose · 12/04/2019 22:33

Cinnamon swirl bun from Tesco, the giant one. Has lots of cinnamon icing.
I’m sad that Cinnabon has now closed in the U.K., they were the best!

Tawdrylocalbrouhaha · 12/04/2019 22:34

I'm not a Whiskey drinker, although I have enjoyed a cinnamon vodka before. I'm fully prepared to research all the cinnamon buns held in the Crouch End Gail's, those sound promising!

I can access Tiger, Hema, and Sostrene Green - haven't heard of Scandinavian Kitchen, but I like the sound of it.

I agree, it just isn't a popular flavour here. No clue why!

Ocado do the Swedish cinnamon buns

BillywigSting · 12/04/2019 22:35

I agree with pp. Go and buy some good expensive cinnamon sticks, grind it in a spice grinder and double or even treble what is called for in almost any given recipe

Tawdrylocalbrouhaha · 12/04/2019 22:36

Look, as much as I love Cinnamon, Florida might be a bit far. And I'm not great at yeast cookery, but I may have to try. I can't just keep unrolling Gifflar to eat the filling.

The do little roll bun things in ikea. Or cinnamon graham's or whatever they are called now.

Blibbyblobby · 12/04/2019 22:37

Cinnamon toast? We make it all the time for a sweet cinnamon hit.

Also, not cakey but majorly cinnamon: hot tamales cinnamon jelly beans. I love them!

Papa johns, the pizza company, do a cinnamon dessert. I thought it was quite cinnamony

BillywigSting · 12/04/2019 22:42

Get some ready to roll puff pastry. Make cinnamon butter (literally just melted butter with as much cinnamon as you see fit/can get into it before it's too thick to spread) and brush it liberally all over it. Roll it up and cut into slices like a Swiss roll. Add more cinnamon butter on top.

Bake for about ten minutes.

Thank me later (though my sincerest apologies to your arteries)

LittleBirdBlues · 12/04/2019 22:42

What's the name of that cinnamon chewing gum?

Tawdrylocalbrouhaha · 12/04/2019 22:42

Thanks Thelovecats, unfortunately those are the very ones I have been unrolling to just eat the filling of!

Slightly not what you asked for but curiously cinnamon cereal hits the spot for me.

PippilottaLongstocking · 12/04/2019 22:46

The filling of those buns is basically cinnamon, sugar, and butter. Mix them together then eat it from the bowl
