Looking for a great restaurant/hotel...Windsor area. Can anyone help?

I've spent hours trawling the internet trying to find the right place and so far no joy

What I really need is someone to say "Oi try this place it's fantastic.."

Meeting up with a couple of girlfriends in September.
maybe a Hotel du Vin/Malmaison type place?
or a really good pub with rooms?

Have never been to Windsor so no idea what's there.

Any help would be much appreciated

hind head is amazing - went there for my 40th and loved it -- totally amazing

Have just spoken to a man (gorgeous sounding young Scot) called Joe at the Hind's Head

He's managed to squish the 3 of us in for lunch on the Saturday. Am so pleased
