not too bad tonight here

Pasta with a tomatoey sauce
cheese on top

garlic bread (frozen)

dh is in charge of tonight's dinner while I slack here - that'll be cat-food gratin again, then. DD2's decision to eat what was on the bottom of her sock (again, ) was probably the connoiseurs choice.

Ah yes, it did ring a bell from when we used to have a veg box.

hesta · 04/07/2007 18:00

totally nothing in this house for tea, oh there is a left over peanut butter sandwich from this morning and half a bottle of red wine, but hey ho i've snaffled that...

jaynehater · 04/07/2007 18:05

I used to be quite organic and fascist about dd1's food until I swanned into the local mums'n'tots with my fennel tea bags, and at snack time, I asked the snack rota mum(now BF) o boil the kettle. "Does she like cozy juice" she asked. Got a sense of perspective, there and then. But I don't do ready made, so the food fascism is never that far from the surface!

titchy · 04/07/2007 18:32

Mine had Maccy D's, complete with Fruit Shoot

I win.

titchy · 04/07/2007 18:33

Oh and I had Maccy D as well, tho' with coffee not fruit shoot I hasten to add. That makes it Ok doesn't it?

Hulababy · 04/07/2007 18:37

We are having takeaway from the fish and chip shop.

Peachy · 04/07/2007 18:40

Mine had baked eggs in tomato sauce (or as the sainburys website calls it sunnysideup supper LOL) with salad. healthy i guess but very very very easy

Couldn't be arsed to do anything much after the fight in my back garden (would refer to pudding comp thread in recipes for details)

lulumamasmentee · 04/07/2007 18:44

DD was having spag bol

i put it on the table, she looked at it, picked her cup up and emptied her whole drink into the bowl

so now she's having garlic bread

bozza · 04/07/2007 18:50

Why when I've done good (out in the rain picking my homegrown organic strawberries for them) is it always a competition for being bad. And when we have slipped into Greggs everyone is being virtuous?

bagpuss · 04/07/2007 18:50

Mine had Sausages, chunky oven chips and sweetcorn followed by a large slice of birthday cake (with many colours of icing at it had a picture of Boo on it and a lot of buttercream inside). It was ds2's birthday tea .

We are having a curry later from selfridges food hall as it is my birthday also .

bozza · 04/07/2007 18:52

Franny I made a chard frittata on Sunday and both my two loved it. DH whinged but I don't let that worry me. "It is very chardy". Yes darling that is the general idea.

Franny, while I think chard is a noble and versatile vegetable, I actually think that nothing beats tofu in lack of edibility

meandmyflyingmachine · 04/07/2007 19:40

Mine had beans on toast.

MN ponce points for home-made baked beans and home-made bread.

Negative ponce points for using a breadmaker...

Chard and tofu?! Blimey. I hope you seasoned it well...

FrannyandZooey · 04/07/2007 19:43

there were other things....those were the edited highlights

it was delicious btw, truly

LazyLine · 04/07/2007 19:45

DS ate beans for dinner.

I did serve him more but he is feeling ill.

Just beans.

meandmyflyingmachine · 04/07/2007 19:48

LOL at "highlights"

Actually, quite like chard.

Tofu though. Ugh.

francagoestohollywood · 04/07/2007 19:50

Lol at edited highlights.

kookaburra · 04/07/2007 20:05

lol - especially at the skittles!

XcupcakemummyX · 04/07/2007 20:17

have given as usual croissant cheese and yoghurt but every meal is the same he has not once eaten a cooked meal, and i can even cook homemade pizza not really worth the effort except makes teenage daughter very happy

purpleduck · 04/07/2007 20:38

Mine had a ham and cheese omelette. "Not bad!!" I hear you say. However, when I stopped to think, they had:
French toast (eggy bread) for brekky
quiche for lunch
and now omelette for evening meal
whats with all the eggs!!! Maybe i'm ovulating...

bozza · 04/07/2007 21:11

Yes I agree - chard far superior to tofu.
