Anyone got a good recipe for raspberry cheesecake? There are loads online obviously but I’d like a tried and tested one. No bake ideally. Thanks.

Please can I also have this amazing recipe too?

JennyWreny · 10/01/2019 13:31

Veterinari Thanks, I've had a quick look at the link you posted but it seems to be talking about copyright of dishes rather than printed recipes (although I confess I didn't read the whole article) and the book this comes from has a copyright symbol on. In any case it doesn't take more than a few seconds to paste it in a PM so I'm more than happy to do that. Let me know if you'd like me to PM it to you.

hammylehamster have PM you!

Please can I have the recipe too Jenny?

StillRunningWithScissors · 10/01/2019 14:14

I would also love the recipe as well please

Veterinari · 10/01/2019 14:15

@jennywreny
All books have a copyright symbol - the book is copyright and should not be reproduced without permission the recipes are not, as those articles state you cannot copyright a recipe under uk law. If you could, you would still be acting illegally as you are copying and sharing a recipe without the owner’s permission - it doesn’t matter that it’s in a private message.

Entire threads in the food topic would be empty if recipe copyright existed. Plus MNHQ would remove the recipe if you posted it and they were concerned about copyright infringement.

So either you think recipes are copyright and should stop sharing the recipe as you’d be acting illegally or just post it on the thread. It’s all a bit unnecessarily dramatic over your ‘secret’ cheesecake

Veterinari · 10/01/2019 14:17

Not to mention that you’ve entirely derailed the OP’s thread

JennyWreny · 10/01/2019 14:24

CiderWithRosy and StillRunningWithScissors sent you PMs - enjoy!

Bringbackthestripes · 10/01/2019 14:24

Ooh, I do love a raspberry cheesecake. I made one some time ago but can't find the recipe, so if anyone would be kind enough to PM me I'd be very happy. Ta!

Veterinari · 10/01/2019 14:32

@Jennywreny
www.gov.uk/copyright

PM’ing would be just as ‘illegal’ as posting on the thread. If recipes had copyright. Which they don't

LaBelleSausage · 10/01/2019 15:18

May I also have the recipe please?

Bluetrews25 · 10/01/2019 16:22

Digestive and butter base, as per usual
Make a raspberry jelly with half the quantity of water. Put in bowl to set.
When nearly set, electric whisk in a pack of philly-type soft cheese. Add rasps to taste. Spread on base, chill.
This is what DCs did at school.

On a side note, you can make a great mousse by whisking (electric is best) a small can of EVAPORATED milk into an almost-set jelly made with half the volume of water. Keep whisking until you get loads of volume and the jelly blobs are indistinguishable.
