I’ve got a big joint of gammon that’s just gone in the slow cooker!

BevBrook · 29/09/2018 09:02

Goodness knows, but there are two punnets of mushrooms that need using up so probably mushroom risotto. The kids won't countenance that though so will have to feed them separately.

Clutterbugsmum · 29/09/2018 09:06

Have no idea.

Bloomcounty · 29/09/2018 12:07

I found some stewing steak hiding in the back of the freezer, so it's now in the slow cooker with loads of root veg, some stock and some herbs and red wine. Whatever I had lurking about, basically. I'll cook some mashed potato to go with it.

I’m not hungry but kind of fancy something, I’ve got an M&S beetroot and mint dip in the fridge that I might crack open later.

Burgers and chips here with a half cob of corn. Very happy family Smile

We are having an old favourite which is really easy to make but so tasty. Two Chicken breasts sprinkled with paprika and garlic salt. Pop in a casserole dish. Put some sliced mushrooms on top. Pour over a tin of Campbell's condensed mushroom soup and add a small pot of single cream and pop in the oven for approx an hour. I've served with mange tout, carrots and some tiny roast potatoes. Eating it now and it's lovely.

PinkHeart5914 · 30/09/2018 18:30

Home made lasagne with tender stem broccoli, baby carrots and peas with a glass or 2 of rose

sadnessin · 30/09/2018 21:15

@heyjude12

Of course!

Fry up some chicken breast/thigh chunks with some all purpose seasoning + garlic + red chillis if you fancy it extra spicy

When browned add couple tablespoons of harissa paste (I use belazu rose harissa) stir around for a few min

Add double cream and bubble away on low heat. Some stock (bouillon?) if you need more liquid

Zizzis add spinach and cherry Toms but I leave those out for fussy DH

Smile. So easy, enjoy!
