I'm 7 months pregnant and have a sudden urge to cook and bake, despite dreadful indigestion that means I don't want to actually eat it! I'm thinking of directing my energy towards stocking the freezer with stuff that can be easily divided into portions and reheated.
- Any tips or links for good veggie dishes? Especially tray bake/pie type stuff?
So far my list is:
Falafel
Veggie burgers
Vegetable lasagne
Soup
Dahl
Curry
- I also have a weakness for cakes/ biscuits/ bread and can get through vast quantities so I'd like to make my own - any ideas for relatively healthyish but satisfying sweet or savoury baked goods that freeze well? I usually reduce the amount of sugar and substitute with oil and wholemeal flour where possible - I'm planning on eating it all myself so it needs to be tasty but doesn't have to be perfect looking!
Current list is:
Cinnamon buns
Oat and raisin cookies
Cheese scones
Carrot cake
Brownies (clearly not a healthy choice but I've heard they freeze well!)
