What were your favourite sweets?

It's my mums 50th birthday next week and I am doing little sweetie bags for her surprise party.

I want to include retro sweets she would have loved when she was a child, so far I have

Liquorice torpedos
Flying saucers

And then I'm stuck!

It's a lot of chews though. I barely touched chews in the 70s, except for multi flavour toffo's, and pacers, and orange chewits. All three have gone now Sad

Shrimps, white choc mice, the chocolate discs with sprinkles on, chewy fried eggs, and sweet cigarettes if anyone still dares make them!

Not sure if this would work out more expensive, but take a look for some ideas :)

Caramac, Spangles, chocolate cigarettes (the chocolate bit was a joke, grainy nonsense but so evocative) Bazooka gum (had little transfer tattoos in them).

Report
MNOverinvestor · 08/07/2018 21:30

They still sell the 'chocolate' cigarettes... in exactly the right packaging (Bazooka, so looking at you for changing yours) www.retrotuckshopsweetsdirect.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=821
