Waves at SynBin, we have a similar mix in our family, your menu sounds great. Do you have any tips on how you keep everyone fed without cooking loads of different meals? We try and do a few veggie meals a week and then some which can have optional fish or meat added but it is a struggle sometimes!

@maxelly

When I plan the meal it starts off as a stand alone veggie dish for example egg fried rice with tofu. If there is meat left over from Sunday roast I would add some of that.

Or I make a curry - fave is butternut, chickpea and spinach. I would then put it in two pan, one with chicken and one with paneer.

Or I make a batch of beetroot burgers and freeze individually so on fish Friday the veggies have a burger.

I do all the cooking so we mostly eat veggie. If the meat eaters want more meat they are welcome to plan, shop and cook. Only ds will add stuff to the delivery - he has the app and plans food for himself, usually some chicken and veg.

We always have ham, bacon, tuna, cooked salmon so they can have that for lunch.

Vegi, pescaterian and one carnivore household here. I've been menu planning for decades and couldn't operate any other way. For me it means one shop per week whilst knowing exactly what you need to buy. I love fresh produce though and sometimes you just have to add to your shop if something really appeals, such as seasonal fruits and vegetables. I love to cook and have always enjoyed sharing and swapping ideas.A new recipe book can be nearly as good as reading a thriller. Then again, in a fair few, the majority of the recipes can end up being rubbish.Anyway, this is what we have/will be eating this week.
Monday - Bruschetta two ways, with a fresh tomato topping and tuna & roast veg topping. Served with salad, some left over camembert and salami for the carni.
Tuesday - Baked potatoes stuffed with cheddar and sauteed leek with a side salad.
Wednesday - Potato gnocchi (not home made ones ) baked in a creamy spinach and dolcelatte sauce topped with crispy Palma ham and served with tomato and rocket salad.
Thursday - Buttered prawns (Ottolenghi recipe) served with Fregula pasta.
Friday - Paneer and vegetable curry served with basmati rice.
Saturday - Dinner with friends down the pub, yeah Grin, and no doubt plenty of booze.
Sunday - A tapas of patatas bravas, chorizo baked in wine and garlic, aubergine baked with tomatoes and herbs, fried Saganaki (yes, it is Greek), hair of the dog.
Reading it back I can see why I can't lose weight. A bit of an irony in that I used to write low fat recipes for Rosemary Conley. Blush

It all sounds incredible though Pearlchoker, especially the Sunday tapas! Sod the diet... we often have a tapas or mezze meal in our mixed household as everyone can pick the bits that suit their diet...

Oooh, could never diet Maxelly. I love food and cooking far too much and couldnt contemplate cutting anything out. However, cutting down the portion size would help, difficult though when it's tasty. Ahh well, there's always big knickers 😉
