Every meal I cook DP hates

So this is the 4th time running I've cooked DP taken one bite and refused to eat it.
Chilli - mince too chewy.
Beef stew - tasteless
Chicken with rice and hot sauce - didn't fancy
Spag bol - mince gristly
And tonight corned beef hash - tastes off

I follow recipes and put salt and pepper in it but nothing I do is right.

Can someone give me some simple recipes to try?

Why are you cooking?! Why?! And certainly if you are cooking while in such a bad state (I had SPD, I get it), it shouldn’t be any more than throwing something in the oven! Make sure he’s prepared to cook tomorrow

Just cook for your son and yourself. DP sounds childish.

Another one saying give us cooking for him. He sounds rude and ungrateful. Do you usually do all the cooking for the household?

I find that the best mince dishes need a long slow cook in the oven for several hours.

How long are you cooking the mince for?

I can't abide mince that hasn't been long slow cooked. Spaghetti and chilli get a good couple to three hours.

We never eat mince on the day its cooked, always simmer for a couple of hours, cool quickly and put in fridge for 1-5 days.

He should be sharing the cooking, dh cooks as often as I do and we are both equally as bad at it 😂

Thank you all for making me feel much better plus all your hints and tips for if I attempt to cook again. I'm not planning too me and ds are going to go out for a massive lunch tomorrow my treat and have a sandwich for tea and DP can fuck right off.

Why isn’t he doing the cooking if you’re heavily pregnant on crutches? What kind of bloke watches someone struggle to even stand up and then moans about it? What a Prince...

Keep making your lovely meals for you and your son (if possible on crutches!!) and buy cheap ready meals for DP. He will soon learn what 'gritty' mince tastes like!

According to another post she's on, DP is physically abusive and has slapped her for not saying he looks fit today, so I dread to think.
