Green & Blacks for PMT.
Dairy Milk for biting.
Galaxy for sucking.
I thought everyone knew that!

Bagpuss30 · 04/05/2007 10:02

how can you not like Maya Gold? I've even managed to convert dh, who said he couldn't stand it originally.

MrsBadger · 04/05/2007 10:03

I'm with you capp

G&B is ok for delicate one-at-a-time squares, like wine, but you need the stuff with the vegetable fat in for indulgence.

(tried G&B Magnum-style ice lollies the other week. Don't bother.)

frenchleave · 04/05/2007 10:04

Never heard of Maya Gold - where do you get it? Who makes it?

Cappuccino · 04/05/2007 10:06

Bagpuss I can eat Maya Gold when pushed

but why would I spend nearly two quid on a bar when I can have a Galaxy?

There was a thread last week with a load of people barking on about the terrible fatty milky nonsense of cheap chocolate

feck em

(MrsB thanks for the tip. Good to know. Will stick to the Magnums)

OP posts:
Cappuccino · 04/05/2007 10:07

(MrsB how do you get your wine into squares?)

OP posts:
foxinsocks · 04/05/2007 10:11

lol at square wine

I don't get Maya Gold. I made sodding cakes with the stuff and no-one would touch them grrr.

Bagpuss30 · 04/05/2007 10:13

Ah, Capp, G&B is 2 bars for £2 at Ocado this week . I do like Cadbury's btw, but after eating G&B's it just seems so wrong now.

(I have been following a kind of low fat diet for a while though so that's probably why)

Cappuccino · 04/05/2007 10:14

it is wrong

it is wrong wrong wrong

Cappuccino · 04/05/2007 10:15

bagpuss have you forgotten how it melts with a swig of coffee in the afternoons?

g&b doesn't go with a latte at all

would rather have an orange than Maya Gold tbh

Sorry to butt in - posh chocolate OK I suppose but dairy milk wins every time for snarfling in chocolate emergency. And poo to those that don't agree.

Cappuccino · 04/05/2007 10:29

you butt in all you like love

as you're agreeing with me

OP posts:
Bagpuss30 · 04/05/2007 10:53

No I haven't .

We went to Cadbury World last year and every time we have cadbury chocolate now I just remember the smell of the factory - god it was heaven .

Cappuccino · 04/05/2007 10:57

oooh

chocolate holiday

OrmIrian · 04/05/2007 10:58

I have tried and tried to like posh chocolate. I even convinced myself I did for a while. But I don't. Dairy Milk hits the spot. Not that I eat it because once I start I can't stop.

Bagpuss30 · 04/05/2007 10:58

Yes, they give you cups of the stuff melted .

indiemummy · 04/05/2007 11:00

Got a taste for G&B when pregnant as thought dark chocolate would be good for me (well...)

But to be honest nothing beats a very cold CAN of diet coke and a Lion bar

if feeling poor can cope with dairy milk etc x

JackieNo · 04/05/2007 11:04

I'll eat any chocolate, and enjoy it all, but I do find that expensive chocolate is for savouring in smaller quantities, and cheaper chocolate (dairy milk or galaxy) is comfort food.

PrettyCandles · 04/05/2007 11:08

I have to restrict my chocolate intake these days because I'm breastfeeding and ds2 really lets me know about it if I have too much, and frankly I'd rather sleep than eat chocolate. Which means that if I want a lump of chocolate I have one square of Lindt 70%. I'm not suffering .

TooTicky · 04/05/2007 11:14

Please only buy fair trade chocolate - there are thousands of children enslaved on cocoa farms. Look here and here

fireflyfairy2 · 04/05/2007 11:19

Fair trade chocolate tastes like poo though

TooTicky · 04/05/2007 11:21

firefairy2! Have you tried every type?

TooTicky · 04/05/2007 11:22

Sorry, I mean fireflyfairy.
