Whats for dinner?

For us, it was meant to be kedgeree (forgot to defrost fish) or macaroni cheese (not enough milk for cheese sauce and I can't be bothered to go to the shop).

So now it's either linguine with pesto and feta, or beans/cheese/egg on toast!

What are you guys having?

Spag bol which sounds really boring but we very rarely have it, actually. Bunged some courgettes in too which needed using up.

Kedgeree is tomorrow night Wink I make it with smoked mackerel fillets so it's super quick and easy.

Left over spaghetti Bol - I’m on a really busy day so hoping the look of attentiveness I had from DP last night was him paying attention to what to do to make it happen !

Poutine!! Topped with brisket, mushrooms and onion jam. I've made everything from scratch except for the cheese curds.

The gravy tastes amazing.

Nameforno3 I roughly follow a nigella recipe but it is usually what I have in the fridge. So today I will chop up chicken breasts on the bone (also have a few chicken pieces left over so will put them in), chop chorizo sausage in half, cocktail sausages, chopped onion, garlic and thyme (maybe a few red pepper flakes) and stick them together in a bag with olive oil, salt and pepper, and a bit of leftover white wine. When I am ready to cook I'll put it in a pan, add lemon pieces if I have them, add chopped small potatoes and bake for about 45 minutes. At the end I usually throw in peas, spinach or kale, green beans or whatever I have and let them cook for 10 minutes. If I have stock, I may make a gravy.

Spogget I would love the recipe for your gravy - or even the entire poutine. We were in canada recently for a holiday and dh's favourite 6 words were "would you like gravy with that?" we all fell in love with poutine and had a fantastic "thanksgiving" one with turkey, ham, stuffing, cranberry sauce and gravy.
