fireflyfairy2 · 28/03/2007 17:44

Not sure. My slimming class tonight, so maybe a sandwich or something after??

Yours sounds delicious though collision.

Wouldn't say no to the stir fry either!!

Bucketsofdynomite · 28/03/2007 17:46

Home-made cheesey bread and roast chicken thighs. I spend all day getting the kids to eat veg so I can't face it for him - he has to forage for himself at the office canteen!

collision · 28/03/2007 17:50

You could eat that and slim FF2!! Forget the sandwich...too many points! How is the diet and which one are you doing?

I am hosting our book club so we are having chicken chasseur with rice and purple sprouting, followed by frozen peanut butter and banana cheesecake and/or cheese, and of course copious amounts of wine to accompany our 5 minute chat about book adn 3 hours gossiping.

Carmenere · 28/03/2007 18:07

I like the sound of your book club SWD.
We are having roast chicken with roast potatoes and spring vegetables and for dessert Carluccios chocolate tort with creme fraiche. My neighbour is coming as his dw is away.

Last night DH was away. DD had tea at nursery so just had strawberries. DS and I had chicken (leftover), mash (leftover), carrots and sweetcorn. Obviously went to a lot of effort there.

Tonight we are having pork meatballs with tom sauce (dinnerlady recipe) with pasta. I am not impressed with the dinner lady tom sauce though, Delia's is much nicer but maybe because my tomatoes were not that fantastic...

collision · 29/03/2007 16:24

I think I might need some new cookbooks.

Do you recommend the dinnerlady one or is Tana Ramsay better?

OP posts:
bozza · 29/03/2007 16:25

Haven't got the Tana one. Dinnerlady I was not that impressed with. A lot of the things are recipes for stuff I already cook off the top or fairly basic. I do like the lemon chicken and pea risotto, mind you.

deaconblue · 29/03/2007 16:32

The Tana Ramsay one does have some fannying around dishes I couldn't be bothered with and too much veal for my liking BUT the four dishes I've made so far have all come out really well, so am impressed so far.
