What do people with little time in the mornings eat for breakfast?

So I never know what to have for breakfast! Most of the time I don't have it as I'm in a rush then I eat junk mid morning.

Sometimes I have crunchy nut but I find I'm not full but I also don't like stodgy things in the morning Confused

What does everyone eat for breakfast?

Weetabix, really filling and quick to eat.

BusyBee2017 · 27/06/2017 08:58

The breakfast bars... there is so much choice for breakfast on the go in the supermarket aisles.. some have yoghurt in the breakfast bars

If you are going to work is it possible to keep a box of cereal and milk at work or bread so you can eat whilst at work? Obviously not feasible for everybody at work depends on your workplace and co-workers whether they will kick up a fuss but I don't see why they would! Because full stomach means you are a more productive at work

BusyBee2017 · 27/06/2017 08:59

Plus if you are running out of time in the morning maybe prepare stuff the night before like the bowl, spoon, cup coffee etc ... cereal don't take long to pour with milk

Kiwi32 · 27/06/2017 09:01

Overnight oats/ Bircher muesli would take same amount of time to eat as crunchy nut but keep you full much longer. Can be taken to work in Tupperware too if you're really rushing.

Yoghurt and berries with flaxseeds and chia seeds. Keeps me full for ages and the flax helps me poo GrinBlush

WickedLazy · 27/06/2017 09:02

I don't usually eat breakfast, but if I'm in a hurry and hungry, toast with cream cheese.

OuchBollocks · 27/06/2017 09:02

You could hardboil a couple of eggs the night before and bring them with you with some fruit to eat instead of junk? Otherwise wholegrain toast with some nut butter, or proper plain Greek yoghurt with fruit and seeds mixed in are fast and filling.

UnicornMadeOfPinkGlitter · 27/06/2017 09:03

Peanut butter on granary toast. Keeps me full until lunch time.

AdaColeman · 27/06/2017 09:03

Porridge is very quick to cook in the microwave, and will keep you going all morning.

OuchBollocks · 27/06/2017 09:04

I used to put Greek yoghurt in a tupperware and mix in frozen berries to bring in to work. The berries keep the yoghurt cool and are nicely defrosted by the time you're ready to eat them.

Kefir smoothie with banana and frozen raspberries or porridge with banana and teaspoon of coconut oil.

steppemum · 27/06/2017 09:12

dd1 isn't a morning person, and she has an early start and not much time to eat.
She will have one of these:
pain chocolate
toasted bagel (cinnamon ones are nice)
breakfats bar/biscuit (It goes against the grain to buy these, but at least she has eaten something!)

When I have an early start and can't face breakfast, I usually have a banana, and then have something later.
Quick and out of the door is a slice of toast.

But I always get up early enough for a cup of tea, so can drink tea and eat toast while gettign ready

Overnight oats.

Almond butter on toast.

grasspigeons · 27/06/2017 09:14

Smoked mackerel.
I find it really filling and I literally just have to eat it. No prep

sashh · 27/06/2017 09:36

I don't do milk so no cereal.

I eat like they do in Germany and Holland. Hard boiled egg, slices of ham and a bread roll - or a version off. It might include fruit and yogurt if I am in the mood.

I also keep an instant porridge pot in my work bag for if I don't feel hungry in the morning so I can have it later.

Toadinthehole · 27/06/2017 11:26

Whole oat porridge: oats soaked overnight.

hippadoppaloppagorillapig · 27/06/2017 23:20

You can scramble eggs in the microwave in 90 secs. Just crack them into a bowl, add butter & whatever else you want, then nuke. I have them every day.

TittyGolightly · 27/06/2017 23:26

I don't.

(I have full fat Greek yogurt, frozen berries and ground flaxseed at about 11am at work. At weekends I do t eat till about 3pm.)

EnglishGirlApproximately · 27/06/2017 23:28

Overnight oats, Bircher or bran flakes with raspberries most days - fills me up until lunchtime.

EnglishGirlApproximately · 27/06/2017 23:29
