How has my life come to this, that I am posting a thread about a teabag?

But would love to know what's a good, strong tasty everyday teabag. I like Twinings Assam or Everyday, but it's pricey. PG Tips and Tetley ok, but DH didn't like them. Currently on Tesco red label and it's tasteless. Didn't like Yorkshire.

What shall I try next? Brew

I had always been loyal to Yorkshire as I like a strong brew, but I get Punjana now as well - it's fab. Strong but not too strong.

RedBugMug · 11/05/2017 22:45

waitrose essential english reakfast

sodabreadjam · 11/05/2017 22:53

Another fan of Punjana - never buy anything else. Seems to suit Scottish water.

Thank you- I think I'll try this Punjana first, trip to Morrisons in order!

Twinning everyday yellow box. Although they seem to have doubled in price recently. I buy them when they are on offer.

Twinings Strong English Breakfast

MilkRunningOutAgain · 13/05/2017 14:10

Thanks for this thread, I have been buying Twinings everyday but they are pricey so will try a couple of these. I need strong tea to get through a working day!

FelixFelix · 13/05/2017 14:15

Ringtons is the best everyday tea I've ever had. It's really great.

WillyWonkasChocolate · 08/06/2017 16:24

Another for Sainsbury's TTD English Breakfast.
Coming from an Indian background I'm used to strong full bodied. This one has Assam as well as some others.

pumpkin93 · 09/06/2017 12:09

if you want proper tea taste then ditch the teabags and get some tea leaves. the paper distroys a lot if the taste and aroma. it's my Sunday treat .proper tea leave tea in a pot. mm

eek just noticed spelling mistake sorry

AnnoyedByAlfieBear · 09/06/2017 12:29

Sainsbury's taste the difference or Tesco finest Assam are lovely. Lidl Assam was awful. You'd need to brew a whole box for an hour to any flavour.

barrygetamoveonplease · 09/06/2017 12:31

Yorkshire Gold. Make it weak without milk and enjoy tea-bliss.
If you're stuck, Twinings Everyday.

dumbanddumberer · 09/06/2017 13:58

Got to be the Co-op 99 gold. I make a special trip just to buy them and occasionally their old fashioned own brand sweets.

Quietvoiceplease · 09/06/2017 14:38

Waitrose own label. Great tasting 'medium' tea (I love my tea), fairtrade and only £1.15 for 80.
Lordy. I'm posting about teabags.
I have become that person, haven't I?

MERLYPUSSEDOFF · 09/06/2017 19:19

We have Tesco value t-bags (I know ... but they're ok)
Sainsbury's red label
Aldi red label
or Dilmah.
