Dinner party dessert for someone with multiple allergies

Looking for inspiration for a dessert for a guest who can't have wheat, dairy or chocolate. I'm ok with the other courses. In the past, I've made poached pears; baked fruits; and brûléed rice pudding made with coconut milk. Other guests eat everything, but ideally I'd make the same for everyone or something similar I can adapt. I've tried baking with wheat free flour in the past but not keen on the results. I've also bought the Swedish dairy free ice cream other times as an accompaniment. Any ideas welcome. Thank you

Wow that was quick, thanks! Eggs are ok but my DH hates meringue (although I could make 2 desserts I guess). Fruit salad / crumble would be ok but seem a bit 'every day'. Like the sound of the almond cake, do you have a link please? Or I guess any cake with high almond content would reduce the amount of flour needed so wheat free flour wouldn't affect the texture so much, especially if drizzled with fruit syrup. We entertain this couple a couple of times a year so please keep the suggestions coming

You could also buy some frozen GF pastry - the Genius is gf/df and do tartlets. I did some lovely open apple tarts with it last year. Its more like rough puff than proper puff, but flaky and light, and lives in the freezer for ages.

Booja Booja ice cream is gf/df and absolutely delicious - Ocado stock it

As someone who is gluten free, I do really appreciate you not just doing the fruit salad thing. My heart sinks when I get fruit salad, no matter how nice (though of course I'd never tell the host).

If you do a search for vegan desserts, 90% of them will have an option to make them wheat free as a lot of vegans also don't have gluten.

Can anyone help me too please? My guest is gluten, dairy (inc eggs), nut allergic. I can't come up with anything other than fruit and sorbet and CMOT has worried me. The main course uses corn, beans, veg and rice in varying mexican forms.

Nemno, how about poached pears in red wine, or poached peaches? They'd be lovely, not a massive effort, and suitable.
Or make a posh crumble - I've done one with the crumble cooked separately (which makes it super crunchy), then you could make custard with soy milk

Thank you CMOT, I don't think I can use booze but I could poach fruit, is that really better than fresh though? How do I make custard without eggs?

I've made 'sorbet' with tinned coconut milk, think it was a Nigel Slater recipe, really nice and creamy, you could serve that with eg mango/pineapple

Be careful with sorbet. Shop bought sorbet usually has gluten in.

I've found a recipe for coconut sorbet (GF and DF) so will do that thanks Shall . Mango sorbet already in the freezer. So will add fresh tropical fruit. Daren't buy anything ready made.

For those who can have eggs maybe macaroons, you might need to improvise a little with the filling to make it dairy free, although in France they are often more jelly like, so that might suit. You could serve with raspberries or strawberries and cream. Shop macaroons often have wheat in but they aren't too hard to make.

Talking of Jelly you could make it with sparkling wine or vodka for a more adult touch, or lemonade for the drivers. Could add fruit to it or make rainbow jelly.

A nice fruit salad (no booze) is lovely and makes such a change from all the creamy sugary stuff which people usually eat. Would be number one on my list.

coconut cream pannacotta ? crumble with roasted popcorn as a topping ? Pureed avocado can be sweetened and used a a creamy substitute. Flambé bananas are nice from time to time and dead simple.

I make a gluten and dairy free lemon meringue (sorry your DH doesn't like meringue).

The Genus frozen pastry is gluten and dairy free. You just need to use pure sunflower spread for the lemon filling instead of butter.

It's always well received :)
