I'm veggie, husband isn't, daughter is fussy so most days we end up doing 3 meals!

S - pasta and garlic bread / others will have bolognese sauce
M - lentil, veg and potato bake / husband will have this with meat on side
T - pancakes! Savoury and sweet - all of us love them!
W - baked bean and potato bake / others will have this too
T - left over lentil bake
F - left over baked bean bake

Ah, Tuesday is Pancake Day so we'll have them for dinner instead. Will have to get in some delicious fresh fruit to healthy it up.

Sausage casserole next Monday, perhaps.

Sounds good. I did mine - and then my lovely dad took ds2 on a half term trip and did the sainsbury's shop which was fab of him but does mean that I have not quite exactly all the ingredients I was thinking of Smile

So it's something along the lines of:

  • roast chicken, chips, coleslaw (actually just grated carrot & apple salad, which I serve up about 3x per wk), salad
  • meatballs, tomato sauce, rice
  • tomato soup, baguettes
  • chicken & sweet potato curry
  • baked potato, tuna, salads
  • beef stew
  • pasta, pesto, tomato, salad

Plus some kind of batch cooking to use up strangely large supplies of bananas, sweet potatoes & normal spuds...

Sunday - mixed grill
Monday - roast chicken and mixed roast veggies
Tuesday - stir fry (leftover chicken)
Wednesday - chicken pilaf (more leftover chicken!)
Thursday - shepherds pie
Friday - sausage & mash with onion gravy
Saturday - DS1 birthday party so lots of unhealthy party food Grin

Will also make soup for lunches with various leftover veggies in the fridge

We've got friends coming to stay for a couple of nights this week and the pressure is on because she's Italian and used to her mother's good cooking. Wink

Monday - fish pie
Tuesday - leftover beef or lamb with rice
Wednesday - gammon, green beans, braised red cabbage, potatoes
Thursday - roast chicken, salads, homemade bread, pecan pie for dessert (unless I bottle it and make lemon meringue pie instead)
Friday - beef casserole and baked potatoes
Saturday - homemade fish and chips
Sunday - pork roast

lastqueenofscotland · 18/02/2016 22:40

Fwiw the goats cheese samosas I posted about were divine.

Done mine early this week
Friday: out
Saturday: lazy pasta dinner or similar
Sunday: nut and Stilton roast with all the trimmings
Monday: veggie Thai green curry
Tuesday: honey roasted carrot and cannelini bean salad with hallumi

End of the week plans got shot to hell, but the rest of it was good.

This week

Tonight: sausage pasta
Monday: beef casserole and baked potatoes
Tuesday: something easy, not sure. Chicken nuggets and chips, perhaps
Wednesday: pea & pancetta risotto
Thursday: lentil soup & bread
Friday: chicken tray bake with green veg
Saturday: pulled pork wraps
Sunday: DD1's birthday dinner with family. She wants roast lamb with rosemary as well as all the usual trimmings, and I'll do jelly and a Lemon Meringue pie for dessert.
