Ordered the Stanley yesterday and it arrived this morning (in a scary amount of packaging but my dd is making a house for her dollies out of the giant box it came in). It seems to work - we tested it at lunchtime (dd is sick off school and i am 'working from home' hoho, done about 10 minutes so far.....so I'd recommend the store (Oswald Bailey) and the product. May pinch it for myself!

just read all the way to the bottom of the thread and am amazed that lisalisa appears to have 4 kids and is a partner in a west end law firm. Way to go! I copped out and do part time (3 kids) and it still feels too much so full of admiration.

bumping this thread as I have just received a Stanley flask for DD.
We have done hot pasta and rice.
Any other lunch ideas?

All sorts of soups are good Gingerbear. Mine is just going through a phase of loving beans, pasta shells and veggie sausages at the moment (all mixed up together).

I threw a couple of potatoe croquettes in the other day too.

The remains of the previous nights spag bol was "delicious" too apparently!

I tried dd1 with a thermos but she couldn't manage getting the lid off etc in time. Are the gltc ones easier?

poppiesinaline · 28/11/2006 10:01

What a fantastic idea. DD announced only yesterday that she 'doesnt like sandwiches anymore' and refuses to eat school dinners. This is the perfect answer. I LOVE Mumsnet.
