Does anyone have a really good Cottage Pie recipe?

I'd like to make a proper cottage pie, I've always made a bolognese and put potato on top but if like a really good traditional one.

Would anyone like to share theirs?

I like the Jamie Oliver one. I'm sure you can find it online. Quite simple, and very very tasty.

Delia's using lamb mince, cheesy mash and leeks on top.

I made this shepherd's pie but only had mince not lamb. It was delish and dh says it was the best he'd had, the kids couldn't get enough of it.

Fry beef mince until sealed. Drain juices and oil remove meat return juices to pan, bubble up.

Fry fine diced onion carrot and celery in the juices until soft, about 15 mins. Return mince to pan. Add squirt tomato purée, 100ml stock or water and 2 tablespoons Branston small chunk pickle. Simmer for 10 mins, then top with mash etc.

The Branston makes all the difference in the world. Tis a Gordon Ramsay tip.

Google Delias Waitrose advert one.. Cheesy leeks on top = delish

Gordon ram says has loads of Worcester sauce (think a different recipe to the Branson one) and is yum. Would also recommend eating with pickled beetroot!

I fry an onion and some diced carrot then add mince to brown. Cover with liquid (stock or water)and simmer for hours (I do all day). Add lots worcester sauce and sometimes a tablespoon of tomato puree. Top with sweet potato. Grill to crispen top and servewith peas.

I like the River Cottage Meat one (made with leftover roast lamb in the recipe but very adaptable)

Add oil to a large pan and soften a chopped onion, garlic clove and carrot. Add the meat (if using leftovers chop it into small pea-sized chunks) fry until nicely browned. Pour in a small cup of leftover gravy, half a glass of red wine, 1 tbsp tomato ketchup and 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce, and simmer the whole thing for half an hour until the meat is tender (adding a little water if it looks too dry). Top with mash, it then goes into the oven for 40 minutes, until browned on top, and slightly bubbling.
