I've royally FUDGED it - Help!

I made fudge last night - I don't have a sugar thermometer.
I have made successful fudge before but this time it hasn't set.

Think warm molasses in consistency.
I don't want to bin it, what can I do/use it for?

Help!

Biscuit base, 150g of butter melted, 250g digestive biscuits smashed up small. Mix well, pour into tin, press down and cook at 150 for 10 minutes.

BlatherskitedaboutChristmas · 24/12/2012 10:41

I can see it now:

Bafudgey Pie

Ingredients:
Biscuits
Butter
1 tub fudge-that's-gone-wrong
Bananas

If you made a biscuit base, you could beat 400g of full fat cream cheese, swirl it in with the fudgey goo, scrape onto the base and chill till it sets. Fudgey goo non cook cheese cake? might work Xmas Confused

Soften a tub of vanilla ice cream, swirl fudge through it and referee. Serve with more fudge ( warmed) on top.

ZacharyQuack · 24/12/2012 11:18

Referee = refreeze

It was vair vair sweet but really good.

Biscuit base of digestives crushed with butter and left to set. Poured runny goo fudge over the top, cut up two large bananas and layered them on top of goo, added whipped cream and chocolate buttons to decorate.

I served it with ice cream and the crowd went wild people said it was yummy.

Bafudgey Pie will be added to recipes vair soon.

Merry Christmas all and thank you for helping me to savage the fudge.

Hooray! A proper Mumsnet recipe. I'm glad it was good.

I want credit for the name though Wink

The problem now will be working out how you buggered up the fudge so that you can make it again when someone asks for it!

KeemaNaanAndCurryOn · 26/12/2012 20:59

I reckon it'd be best if you didn't estimate calories per portion though eh? Xmas Wink
