OP posts:
Shaky · 09/11/2012 23:10

I saw that one too state I ran away FAST!

StateofConfusion · 10/11/2012 13:55

Morning all!!

Where is everyone today?

We've just brought baby states carseat and base, feels a bit real now Confused they're much more complicated than they were when dd was a baby!

EmpressOfTheSevenOceans · 10/11/2012 15:43

Have you seen the one in AIBU about the 19yr old PFB?

It's my granny's 90th on Saturday. She wants a purple Thinsulate hat so today I was out looking for one and a birthday card.

With the whole of North London to look through, you'd think it would be easy.

Nope.

FINALLY found a card that said Granny instead of Grandma or Nanna or Nan. Still not found the hat. A bloke who was wearing one told me he got it at Brixton Market, which is conveniently on my way to work, so that's the next place to try...

BonkeyMollocks · 10/11/2012 17:57

Evening all.

Ds is driving me LOOPY!

State Not long now! Wink

Empress Re. cards I cannot recommend having a nosey round the FB craft pages enough, there is some amazing stuff out there all handmade. I have turned into a pro handmade hippy person in the space of a month Wink .

StateofConfusion · 10/11/2012 19:14

I've not seen that one empress I've stayed in threads I'm on mainly, can't deal with the crazy. Good luck finding the hat!

I'm getting slightly nervous but still verry excited, 34wks today, and elcs pencilled for 38/9wks get official date on 29th!! Had to belt the carseat and base into the car as the boxes were stupidly HUGE and we were picking up mil and gmil. We've got a multipla so dc3 will travel middle seat up front (all checked and ok to do so with airbags off) its most surreal having a baby seat there!

DreamySleepyNightySnoozySnooze · 10/11/2012 20:10

Empress have you tried Amazon?

Tee2072 · 11/11/2012 09:58

Morning all,

the dcs slept at my Mums last night, I can hear myself breathing its so quiet!!

We didn't get home from the ils until 2am last night, I slept most of the way home but I do not feel great today! Anyway its my cousins 12th birthday party later so I best drag myself off my silent sofa and got fetch the munchkins, I have missed them, kind of Wink

Shaky · 11/11/2012 21:03

Silence is golden State!

StateofConfusion · 11/11/2012 21:13

It was indeed.

Spent the afternoon at my aunts for my cousins birthday, 11 dcs ranging from nearly 4 upto 14yo and 10 adults it was loud! I'm exhausted now after such a hectic day yesterday, I think pregnancy has finally got me, not bad keeping my usual pace for 34wks though.

All of you who liked peanut butter kitkats need to try the peanut lion bars, sil got me 8 after hearing me go on about the kitkats, the lion bars are goood.

Shaky · 11/11/2012 21:22

I bet you are shattered State you have done brilliantly and not much longer to go. I can't wait to meet JesusState

I can't bear peanut butter

StateofConfusion · 11/11/2012 22:09

I am really excited, although the nerves do set in from time to time, having the carseat in the car made it all real, it is now in the house but we strapped it in to transport it.

I'm off shopping with my Mum tuesday for final hospital bag bits then I'm going to pack it, its highly unlikely but ds was delivered at 37wks after the 36wk scan showing he hadn't grown enough, so in my head I have to be done and ready for that scan.

I don't like peanut butter either but in a chocolate bar this pregnancy I've been obsessed!

BonkeyMollocks · 11/11/2012 22:19

I didn't even get to shop or pack my hospital bag, ds came two days before I had planned to do it sod , I feel deprived Wink

Had to send dh out to get everything, loves the images in my head of him buying breast pads and maternity towels Grin

StateofConfusion · 11/11/2012 22:26

Breast pads I have, maternity towels I prefer to pretend that side of having a newborn doesn't exist Grin

I know it may sound pathetic but I'm worrying this dc won't take to bfing, or it will be really hard after it being so easy with dd for nearly a year, I'd set my heart on doing it.

BonkeyMollocks · 11/11/2012 22:30

No help there, I bottle fed...

How is your hospital/midwives with breastfeeding support?

StateofConfusion · 11/11/2012 22:37

Ds was mix fed for a while then bottle fed, dd it was luck, and one midwife who made time to show me some posistions and give me lansinoh, mws didn't seem to give a fig how I fed at all, when I was concerned about how much dd was getting I was told if I was anxious I could offer bottles after a bf so they weren't too supportive but I'm in a different area now, same hospital but different team who do home visits. My mum and aunt are very supportive and knowledgable, and dp backs what ever I choose to do, but I'm being daft and worrying.

BonkeyMollocks · 12/11/2012 09:32

Just got ds to school on time. Monkey chose as school morning to have a extra sleep and the morning my alarm didn't go off.

Woke up by dh at 8.35 Shock , am rather chuffed with myself that I managed to get him to school for just gone nine!

Coffee anyone? Brew

Tee2072 · 12/11/2012 10:59

Morning

Horrendous morning with LittleTee throwing a strop about not getting to watch one last cartoon after getting into his uniform. He lost the privileged when he pooed in his pants 3 minutes after he got off the potty. Hmm So last cartoon time was taken up with bottom cleaning time. Then he didn't want his coat and insisted it wasn't raining. So I opened the front door to show him different. Then he cried because it was raining. I could not win today.

We managed to make it to school on time as well, Bonkey, but just barely!

Mom and Step Dad off on the next leg of their journey. Nice to see them. Better to see them go. Grin

State LittleTee was a scheduled CS and I think I packed my bag the day before I was scheduled to go in! So well done you!! I also can't offer any BF advice as I had no milk and bottle fed.

I should be doing a million and one things. Brew?

BonkeyMollocks · 12/11/2012 11:39

Urgh, hate mornings like that Tee !

StateofConfusion · 12/11/2012 13:13

Awful morning here too, rushed round getting them both ready as they slept in an hour longer than usual, took 3 attempts to get dds hair presentable and tight --to keep the beasties out-- lost a school shoe, the usual, dp ran them there in the car as there's no way I could get myself ready aswell at my snail pace. Ds starts at 8.40 and dd 8.50.
He'd just got back had a cup of tea and nursery ring stating dd isn't well... So back he goes. Dd has a cough yes, but dd used this to come home as her best friend was off sick... Dd has been a bit quiet but dd is fine watching dvds and taking advantage of being home when she shouldn't be!

tee I packed my bag with ds about 6hrs before I arrived at the hospital, can't remember doing dds at all I must have though. But this time I've turned into a mad women who must be organised and prepared, that said I will more than likely unpack, repack a stupid amount of times.

Dp is being mildly more insane and said we should leave the carseat base strapped in 'incase' I actually laughed at him I'm flaming huge and I leant into the middle seat and belted that in tightly in a minute, I did explain leaving the hospital takes hours anyway and to calm down! I'm starting to wonder if he remembers anything!

If any of you remember things that were really useful in your bag let me know, im taking my own pillow this time for sure!

Anyway I'm off to make cream of tomato soup, ill bring some back for you all :)

Tee2072 · 12/11/2012 13:53

Rest of the morning not much better. Saw mom and step dad off, went back to pick up LittleTee...who proceeded to more or less cry or scream the whole way home. I am exhausted...
