Big pan of veggie chilli made ready for later but don't fancy rice. What shall we have with it instead?

Jacket potatoes - yum!

StrawberryMojito · 14/10/2012 14:53

You could wrap it in a tortilla with sour cream or cheese and salad and make a burrito/wrap type thing.

Wolfiefan · 14/10/2012 14:53

Tacos

Jacket spuds. Or pur in wraps and bake in over with a bit of cheese on top. Scrum.

HappyHippyChick · 14/10/2012 14:54

Tortilla chips, sour cream, guacamole and grated cheese. Yum!

SoThisisMe · 14/10/2012 14:55

Jacket or wedges.

MrsjREwing · 14/10/2012 14:55

I felt the same this week and did wraps with salad and cheese, would have like sour cream and chives as well.

Nacho's would be nice to dip in a bowl of chilli with a side salad.

Trills · 14/10/2012 14:55

Chips and cheese

Flisspaps · 14/10/2012 14:56

Nachos. We never do rice with ours.

flossy101 · 14/10/2012 14:56

I love nachos with chilli.

moondog · 14/10/2012 14:56

Cornbread

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 14/10/2012 14:56

That was quick!

DD2 is going through a phase of disliking jacket potatoes - weirdo. Have got some tortilla wraps, soured cream etc so will do burritos. Thank you! :)

Make alot of chilli. We have Rice/Jackets/Wraps

Sometimes I just like crusty bread OR CHIPS/Wedges!

kellestar · 14/10/2012 14:57

lightly salted tortilla chips, spread in a ring toasted in the oven, chilli piled in the middle, grated cheese on top and back in the oven to melt.

Then sour cream and guac on the side, a fork to help slide the chilli onto the chips and crunch it all up. Yum!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 14/10/2012 14:57

Oh yum to cornbread. Haven't got any polenta/cornmeal though. Anybody got a fabbo recipe for next time?

Cornbread

BigusBumus · 14/10/2012 15:01

Cut the flour tortillas into small triangles with a pizza cutter. Put them on a baking tray and bake in the oven for a few minutes until crisp. Eh voila! Low fat nacho chips! Pile the chili on a late and surround with the nacho chips and a blob of sour cream and some diced red onion. Mmmmm.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 14/10/2012 15:01

Ugh to mashed potato.

Thanks for link, Moondog. Not seen you on here for ages.

MadBusLadyHauntsTheMetro · 14/10/2012 15:02

We have salad, pickled red cabbage and Greek yoghurt. It's got starchy kidney beans in it already.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 14/10/2012 15:02

That sounds lovely, Bum. :)
