Why not say something like, we do get a minority of concerned emails on this topic and are considering introducing a free from drink to cater to that demand?

haven't read full thread so apologise if i'm repeating anyone else's messages, but my health-visitor saw my daughter drinking "Sunny Delight" once and she went absolutely balistic on me!

Not surprised, CK. She may as well eat the bottle. Much better for her!

To be honest, i only - unless caught short without any - give my kids water or milk. i find it's other members of the family...!..who like to give them all these juices and things. the only one i tend to agree with is Lemon/Orange with barley specially if they have any problems down below as seems to flush them out.

My boys used to love fruit shoots, their nan used to keep a stock of them ready for their visits. DS1 (9yrs) never reacted to them but I noticed that DS2 seemed to be more hyper after drinking them than before (if that was at all possible).

Now i buy them favoured still water instead, it has all the taste but none of the rubbish. MIL does the same now too, just wish some pubs/restaurants would stock them as whenever we go out for a family meal the majority of drinks available for children are either fizzy or fruit shoot.

Will also stick my neck out and admit that DD and DS have these very occasionally.

e.g. out at soft play places, over my mum's house.

We also buy them occasionally if going out for the day.

They don't have any discernable effect on DD and DS at all.

At home they drink water and DS drinks milk in the mornings.

I don't think there's anything wrong with a litte bit of everything in moderation!!!!
