Actually i'm taking a break i think, only antenatal and a few sn's if needed but tbh i think i' past the dtage where there are any answers for ds1 (biit of a nightmare event this weekend)

Flame, as you can see I have returned (post flounce shame). I left because I was on here way too much. Just c&p Buda's first paragraph and that was me.

Anyway I missed my mn friends and I missed it as a resource (have just had great cake icing tips from COV for instance).

If you want to reduce your mn time I would recommend:

• Cold turkey timeout. De-register. you can't post if your not registered.

• decide on how much you want to mn. I am only going to post in the evenings from now on. mn is too much of a time stealer during the day.

• hide a load of thread topics. I have about 8 topics I can see. My goodness mn moves so much more slowly. I have hidden AIBU, it sucks the joy out of life imho.

I think it is going to be the hiding thing. I cannot dereg as I am committed to book swaps and diet (and xmas), but if I can get to just those and let my "threads I'm on" go it will be betetr.

Hiding threads and topics is very cleansing. It feels the same as when you clear out your garage. I like to think that my mn experience is now very streamlined, all chrome and clean glass
