I'm tempted. I used to enjoy it but now the word 'coronavirus' is doing my brain in! And also the amount of threads about cheating partners. Which of course is just very sad. But I find myself wishing I could block certain topics, such as coronavirus and cheating! It just gets me down!

Sugarpea you can! On laptop/desktop anyway. click on the arrow next to 'Talk' at the top of the screen and you can customise your view! Game changer for me, however all of the trendin topics are stil about C* so you can't escape it completely.

I do think it's serious and I am taking as sensible precautions as I can but I do think there is a lot of fear mongering on those threads, so I don't blame you OP. It was the same during Brexit and the elections, complete meltdown.
