mrsruffallo · 20/05/2010 12:01

Thelma and Louise

MitsubishiWarrioress · 20/05/2010 12:24

Also agree on Kill Bill Avad... was a toss up really between any of his films but Hero is just gorgeous!

Pan's Labyrinth. I cried and cried and cried.

NeverFallLove · 20/05/2010 13:18

Beautiful Mind

Francagoestohollywood · 20/05/2010 13:28

Oh I've got too many!
Carlito's way
Pulp fiction
The empire strikes back
The white nights, and I could go on and on and on

bibbitybobbityhat · 20/05/2010 13:28

Francagoestohollywood · 20/05/2010 13:30

And now that you mention Raising Arizona (great movie), I also have do add The Big Lebowski and Fargo to my list.

bibbitybobbityhat · 20/05/2010 13:30

Most of my Top 10 have been mentioned already!

jonicomelately · 20/05/2010 13:31

Saturday Night Fever.

Bramshott · 20/05/2010 13:35

I am a sucker for Brief Encounter . . .

ThreadKillerQueen · 20/05/2010 13:40

And Phantom, purely for the reason that I love the musical.

maktaitai · 20/05/2010 13:48

All the President's Men.

But probably the most intense emotional reaction I've ever had during a film was to Death in Venice - that film turned me inside out and scoured me. But then I was 16... don't think I would react the same way now.

MrsJohnDeere · 20/05/2010 14:02

Downfall

anonymousbird · 20/05/2010 14:11

Gladiator blew me away.
Utterly absorbing and gritty.. despite being in the later stages of labour at the time...

Pulp fiction in terms of sheer class and brilliance.

PS. OP, my mate's dad made The Shining!!!

LetThereBeRock · 24/05/2010 20:23

I can't choose just one.

The Deer Hunter

Reservoir Dogs

The Legend of 1900

Jean de Florette/Manon des Sources

The English Patient

Casablanca

Goodbye Lenin

Schindler's List

The Life of Brian

Young Frankenstein

PortiaPie · 28/05/2010 21:56
