seent he film this evening - slow slow slow - somethings just cannot go from book to film
edward isn't the edward in the book

jacob is

alice isn't

emmet and jasper - are

carlisle - so is!
esme - is

Rosalee - so ISN@T!!!

janes looks like brad pitt in interview, victoria is beautiful, laurant is black - something i think the author would have mentioned.

it was excruciatingly slow - did i sayt hat already.

the editing and production was second rate - and i am hoping that with the interest in this film having shocked all involved, that they will get a better team together for the next movie - some scenes were positivley amaturish ( the conversation int he hospital)

apart from that - loved it - deffo seeing the next one - becuase i am TEAM JACOB dig your claws in MY back jacob honey

yup, she thinks she is edward cullens wife.

i have just finished the third book, havent got hold of the fourth book yet, can i ask a question about jacob? (spoiler alert to anyone who hasnt read thus far) has he imprinted on bella? he kept mentioning it happening to the others, but never about himself. so i was wondering.

littlelamb · 07/04/2009 23:27

noooooo, not Bella. You will be shocked I wish I'd never read book 4 tbh, ruined the lot for me.

EdwardCullensWife · 08/04/2009 01:22

No, the imprinting comes later. It's a shocker. Book 3 was my second favourite. Book 4 my least favourite, apart from the first part.

GothAnneGeddes · 27/04/2009 02:49

Not read the books, but I found the film unbearable. Bella was so so wooden.

multitasker · 05/05/2009 10:05

Have just seen the film and thought it was great, yes in hindsight some of the fx were naf and I did want to slap Bella from time to time. Is there any point in reading the book? Have I missed that much, or should i start with the second,or should I just get a life.....
I have learned Bellas lullaby on the piano and it is just sublime....

Springfleurs · 05/05/2009 18:48

Oh read the books definitely. I saw the film first and then read the books and loved them. I am a total sad twilight obssessive though.

multitasker · 05/05/2009 21:37

Might just do that then!!

TheMysticMasseuse · 18/05/2009 14:57

ok i have only one question about this movie:

WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE CULLENS' HAIR??????

they all have a very bad case of dodgy highlights. oh, hold on a minute... it's Rosalie who does their hair, and yes, she really does look like a hairdresser (no offence to any hairdressers here!).

Rosalie was beyond wrong. gorgeous blonde girls are 2 a penny in hollywood and really there is no excuse for casting someone so average in the role. so was Jasper (too young and too... constipated!). I thought Edward was great, really did it for me. Bella too.

agree with allt he comments- the film was amateurish and cheap. hair and makeup were atrociously bad (note to makeup artist- even my 3 year old dd knows you have to blend foundation along the neckline...).

can't wait for New Moon though

yappybluedog · 18/05/2009 15:04

yes, so much wrong with it, but highly enjoyable at the same time

pingping · 18/05/2009 15:12

Film was rubbish books are brillent.... I LOVE EDWARD CULLEN

Sandy22 · 20/05/2009 13:03

I am a 40's married mum who is just obssessed with the the whole twilight thing. I read all 4 books within a week and still can't think of anything else ...... I have watched the film twice and keep replaying it in my head - I seriously need to get a life ........

Ledodgy · 20/05/2009 13:18

I don't think Carlisle is how I imagined in te book he was good looking! Edward wasn't how I imagined him but he is now iyswim in fact I think he was a fab casting in the end. Alice not the same, I imagined her with short blonde hair. Also Rosalie wasn't as stunning as she's supposed to be.

Ledodgy · 20/05/2009 13:19

I mean in the book Carlisle was good looking and not in the film.

JustcallmeDog - Out of the 4 books the 2nd was my least favourite but you need to read it to go onto the others which are a lot better.

newgirl · 20/05/2009 18:05

i thought the casting was great

even rosalie - i mean can you imagine if she was a teenager when you were at school - there was no one like that in my school i can tell you

wasn't jacob a bit old? in the book he is 14?

bella was good - she is meant to be annoying surely? as teeange girls are - self-obsessed - not really that clumsy but think they are the clumsiest in the world

Gillyan · 21/05/2009 00:13

Ha ha, how funny my friend lent me this yesterday and me and DP tried to watch it, we turned it off after 30 mins or so,soooo boring and nothing happened, at all.

And it was so obvious what was going to happen!

Utterly poo.

monkeytrousers · 18/06/2009 18:55

I loved it. Total female porn!

Those looks..it's like Mr Darcy all over again.

The director balanced things very well. It's a pity she hasn't directed the next two.

TheFool · 18/06/2009 19:00

The casting was appalling.

Emmett wasn't big enough.

I think "wtf" pretty much describes Jasper.

Rosalie was too meh and too old

Carlisle looked much more ghostly than I would have gone for.

Edward should not have big hair.

Well, none of them should have big hair.

Alice I approved of, and Jacob.

James should have been in it much more and the books should have been rewritten to make him reappear in all of the films

monkeytrousers · 18/06/2009 19:52

Ah well. I've never read the book. Not disappointed
