seent he film this evening - slow slow slow - somethings just cannot go from book to film
edward isn't the edward in the book

jacob is

alice isn't

emmet and jasper - are

carlisle - so is!
esme - is

Rosalee - so ISN@T!!!

janes looks like brad pitt in interview, victoria is beautiful, laurant is black - something i think the author would have mentioned.

it was excruciatingly slow - did i sayt hat already.

the editing and production was second rate - and i am hoping that with the interest in this film having shocked all involved, that they will get a better team together for the next movie - some scenes were positivley amaturish ( the conversation int he hospital)

apart from that - loved it - deffo seeing the next one - becuase i am TEAM JACOB dig your claws in MY back jacob honey

Why are so many of you team Jacob? Edward is perfect in every way.

stitchtime · 05/04/2009 00:47

just been reading the books. havent started no 3 yet. am really looking forward to seeing the films too. but ewww. i cant stand edward.
love jacob. swooooonn...

Springfleurs · 05/04/2009 08:48

Yes, this Jacob thing escapes me too . Edward is beyond perfect.

Tortington · 05/04/2009 08:57

but edward abandoned her.
jacob never ever abandoned her. jacob was always there.

edward is a shit

OP posts:
hercules1 · 05/04/2009 09:00

But he abandoned her because he lurved her soo much. Jacob is younger than her and that alone is enough for me. Never been able to fancy someone so much as a day younger than myself.

Are other films being made?

Tortington · 05/04/2009 09:08

yes i thnk they are doing another - there is a stephanie meyer website my daughter goes to for info.

if he loved her he would have still come back to check - he just proper fucked off!

OP posts:
hercules1 · 05/04/2009 09:10

To be fair to him (grasping now at straws) he did have his family around still and that one who can see into the future. Plus he thought the biggest danger to her was himself.

Tortington · 05/04/2009 09:14

but there is a middle ground between fucking off entirely and leaving the love of your life to the mercy of all manner of creatures - and being there to be a danger to her life.

jacob on the other hand didn't think - oh i know i'm a werewolf - i might rip her head off and shit down her neck, so i must run, run away far far away and leave her.

no

he didn't

But look what happened with your oh so special Jacob in the end......

hercules1 · 05/04/2009 09:30

November for the next film then.

EdwardCullensWife · 05/04/2009 09:36

Stitchtime, how can you not love Edward? It's not possible to not love Edward.

EdwardCullensWife · 05/04/2009 09:38

Custardo, he didn't stop thinking about her all the time he was away and was about to give in and come back anyway when Bella jumped off the cliff.

Tortington · 05/04/2009 09:50

but he didn't - he left her and abandoned her.

  • i agree about jacob...in the end ...how fucking wrong is that...
OP posts:
hercules1 · 05/04/2009 09:51

Imagine if she'd chosen Jacob, had a one nighter with Edward so producing that thing and then..

EdwardCullensWife · 05/04/2009 10:18

Bella did forgive him a little too easily after the agony he put her through.

Springfleurs · 05/04/2009 11:25

Personally I too think she forgave him far too easily and I must admit I was getting a bit pissed off with him when Laurent turned up in that meadow and Edward was not there to do his job.

However in spite of his faults I still love Edward.

EdwardCullensWife · 05/04/2009 11:57

This review on Amazon says it all really. I especially agree with the part about the love story being essentially missing. One minute they're intrigued by each other, the next they declare undying love. The important bit in the middle is not there. Too many holes in this film for my liking but still a must for Twilight fans, for the fantastic baseball scene if nothing else.

hercules1 · 05/04/2009 11:59

baseball is great.

hercules1 · 05/04/2009 11:59

sorry, baseball scene is great. I have no opinion on the game itself!

EdwardCullensWife · 05/04/2009 12:01

I loved Emmet and Jasper in that scene. Even Carlisle looked less scary.

stitchtime · 05/04/2009 17:30

i havent read number three yet. no spoilers for me please.

edward left her. just abandoned her. to sink, swim, or whatever. he just left.
jacob hung around forever and ever. no matter what she did, he stayed her friend. how could anyone compare with that? particularly a little shit like edward?
okie, am going to get off the net, and read number three now. as i shouldnt be discussin this without having read it. had to scroll away fromt he last few posts as it was.

EdwardCullensWife · 05/04/2009 18:36

He left her for her own good - however misguided that was his intentions were honourable. He's learned his lesson.
enjoy 3, it's my second favourite of the 4.

Springfleurs · 05/04/2009 19:53

My favourite is New Moon, even though Edward is not in it that much. I found it quite scary and loved the Volturi scene at the end.

stitchtime · 07/04/2009 11:16

edwardscullenswife, when i told my sister about you rname, she was ready to be on the warpath
are you a regular, but namechanged? if so, who are you ? [stitch being nosy]

EdwardCullensWife · 07/04/2009 16:44

Yes, namechanging regular. I get bored of using the same name for too long. Why was your sister ready for the warpath? Is she after my DH?
