I'd go with Shawshank, but no one's mentioned One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest, IMO THE best film ever made

I agree with Jodie ... that's what I was going to nominate.
Never seen any Godfather films - that sort of film can't be a 'best of all time' type because it is not an 'all rounder' film ... not everyone likes that kind of thing ...
I do think the Shawshank Redemption is fab too though - can't think of anyone who has not liked it.

Godfather 2 is ok but I wouldn't say best ever.

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is eminently watchable but scary child catcher

No one has suggested Lethal Weapon or the Full Monty, both of which I think are fab and watch every time they are on, even despite having them both on DVD as well! Would nominate either of those...

I am a scardy cat, can't watch anything too thrilling. DH was so embarrassed when I had to leave the cinema when we went to see Jurassic Park
