Huge JP fan and I’ve been waiting excitedly for this new update which promised to revisit and keep true to the Michael Crichton novel. How utterly disappointing.

The characters, the acting, the music, the plot. Don’t get me started on the mutant dinos. I can’t even begin to describe the level of awfulness. I’m not sure why it’s received the praise it has - very much as case of the emperors new clothes.

The only plus is that it makes Dominion seem so much better!

Rant over.

There was no threat. You knew who would survive. Didn't help its show a dinosaur and then back to the family walking or whatever drama was going on

A lot of product placement!

The whole waters are invested.. oh look we can happily get across them now

Dinosaurs cant really survive everywhere so let's take this.one from the island

It didnt need both stories. The family added nothing and as a shame as potential

@LetsGoFlyAKiteee absolutely there was no threat. Everyone was saved by plot armour apart from the nameless extras or the 'baddie'. That family had no business being in that part of the ocean in the first place but how did their whole party survive the island and the other party that included actual trained individuals not?! I feel like they were just shoehorning in a family/kid as that's the formula.

@ButtonMoonBlanketSky I thought that about the boat at the end, woohoo they get to try and sail back through Dino's in an unfamiliar boat, with uncalculated oil. At least the captain survived to man the boat, not quite sure how he survived but again, we knew his name and he was a 'goodie' so had to survive.

My biggest laugh was the idea that SJ was going to give the samples to scientists who would make medicines for all... surely the lab with the research already done would be years ahead anyway and would have the budget to patent/disrupt anyone else trying to mass manufacture. Where was she going to find these philanthropic scientists with the capability of giving free medicine to all (as that happens so much with other drugs!). She would have been better off getting her big payday and setting up a charity.

Ah, I saw it and thoroughly enjoyed it!
It was ridiculous and nonsensical and laughed at itself! Didn’t take itself seriously or try to be ‘clever’.
Quite a few funny moments, IMO

We saw it last night and loved it! 🤷‍♀️

Same! Lots of silly fun, was such light relief from the real world. I didn’t really enjoy the others, since the first one.. This latest one is my favourite JP. Fun.
