Absolutely skint at the moment so I won’t be watching this in the cinema but will wait till it comes to one of the platforms but OMG I am so excited!

Just read some reviews and they’re all singing its praises, apparently the best one yet! I loved both of the first 2 and as far as I’m concerned they’ll always be 2 of the best zombie movies made - please let me know if you go to see this and what you think, I shall live vicariously through your experiences until I get to see it 😄

Saw it yesterday. Went to the 10:15 viewing so it was us and about two other couples. Heaven.
Loved the film. As a former north-easterner, I loved tribute is paid to the beautiful scenery. Very different film than I expected but I liked the fact it wasn't a mindless zombie-fest. Far superiors to 28 weeks, which is the weakest by far, IMO

I watched 28 weeks again last night and thought it was awful. I'm looking forward to this one.

We re-watched 28 weeks a few weeks ago in readiness for 28 years. I liked the way it showed the large scale military operation but there were so many ridiculous plot holes that it made the whole thing utterly preposterous. The bits of it that I liked reminded me of the first Cloverfield; which is a hugely underrated film in my opinion.

As an aside DH went to a work team-bonding weekend on Osea Island a few years ago. After watching The Third Day. He said it was a very strange experience.

Watched it last night. I loved the first two. It had some very good points- the scenery, graphics and cinematography was beautiful.

The young boy playing Spike was excellent and his love for mum was so moving.

I thought the film started strong but seemed to go off track a bit, the storyline seemed to lose its way. I won’t give it here but the ending was very odd and I found Spike’s choice to be a bit unbelievable.

The infected running about with their boobs and willies flapping about everywhere made me smile 😂 And the alpha infected had a huge todger! (I’m childish!)

I’d give it 6/10 whereas I’d rate the other two 8/10.

I also saw it last night, and yes that was a very big Willy!

I’ve just finished watching Weeks in preparation for seeing Years at the cinema on Wednesday. I didn’t enjoy it as much as the first, many of the choices made by the main characters were preposterous, and it was so stuffed with action and gore, by the end it had had a contradictory effect and I found myself not really caring what happened to any of them.

Also some plot holes are to be expected but some bits made no sense - the helicopter, anyone?
Still looking forward to seeing the new one at the pictures - Edith Bowman has a double edition of her Soundtracking podcast this week where she interviews both Danny Boyle and YF about the soundtrack. I’ve only listened to the YF episode but really enjoyed it.

I watched Weeks Later at the weekend and I enjoyed it. I'm now watching Days Later, I love Cillian Murphy in anything. I've heard mixed reviews of Years Later. I've not read the whole of this thread yet but interesting how different people's views are.

Great info in prep for seeing it next Saturday - rewatching the 1st & 2nd this week 🎬
