I watched it last night with my DH and 16 and 13 year old DSs.
Powerful, emotional, magnificent and amazing scenery. You just forget you are watching a movie.
Highly recommended!

I watched this and loved it, totally fascinating. I've seen the documentary too.

Would love to know what someone like Bear Grylls would have done in the same circumstances.

Also, Captain Oates - if the others had eaten him, they might have made it back from the South Pole.

The true story behind this is absolutely unbelievable. The most incredible survivor story I have ever heard. It actually defies ALL odds and I don't think anything even remotely similar has ever been repeated.
