I enjoy off beat films, that make you think or surprise. Can be disturbing or not. Any recommendations?

Urgh, I’m Thinking of Ending Things. What did you think? My DS20 at the time we watched it had the nerve to say that myself and DH weren’t intelligent enough to understand it 😂

A Carnival of Souls b/w slow moving horror

Murder By Death star cast comedy (Maggie Smith, Peter Sellers, David Niven, Madeline Khan - I think)

Any Hitchcock's - especially Rope, Strangers on a Train, Rear Window.

Airheads, old Brendan Fraser film - ditto California Man, very funny.

Running Man with Arnold Schwarzenegger.

I loved it until the ending and then I hated it . I might try the book.

Yeah I have heard good and bad about I'm thinking of ending things, tbh I watched synecdoche, new york andim not quite sure I'm intelligent enough to understand it Grin "enjoyed" it though.

You can't stream it anywhere but one of the best quirky films I've seen is a little-known comedy called The Opposite of Sex. You can get it on DVD second hand.

Days of the bagnold summer and hunt for the wilderpeople are two of my children's favourite films. My son went as Daniel Bagnold last book day.
