I'm feeling really down so I'm looking for film recommendations to cheer me up

Just as the title says, really. I feel like I've got the weight of the world on my shoulders and need to de-stress a bit. I fancy a funny film to make me laugh. What can you recommend?

I loved Hangover, Bridesmaids, Game Night, Bad Moms, Ready or Not etc so something like those, ideally.

This may sound ridiculous but sonic the hedgehog one and two are both hilarious. I’m watching them now (whilst my son is out so I can watch without interruption !!) Jim Carrey is so funny!
(and I love the films you named), but give Sonic a go. Otherwise watch This is the End with Seth Rogan. Really funny.
hope you feel better soon xx

I watched Edie a few days ago, was funny, nostalgic, and quite inspiring. Cheered me up.

We're the miller's cracks me up every time.

I also like just go with it and the proposal but mostly for the lovely scenery rather than the comedy.

Quite old now, but A Knight's Tale. Daft and funny, but clever too and very entertaining. The cast are a riot. It never fails to perk me up.

SquirrelFan · 10/02/2023 16:43

Bad Teacher
Cracks me up every time.

REP22 · 10/02/2023 16:45

I watched The Greatest Showman for the first time just recently and enjoyed it a lot more than I though I would. Not really a comedy though.

The Paddington films are hard to beat. On the more dodgy-taste side, I really laughed at Team America and the South Park movie.

Hope you're feeling a bit better soon OP. x

Burgerqueenbee · 10/02/2023 16:45

Not a comedy but has many funny bits - Julie and Julia. It always cheers me up even if Julie is a bit annoying Smile

Velvian · 10/02/2023 16:47

The Lost City. I laughed so much. Hope you feel better soon.
