I'm feeling really down so I'm looking for film recommendations to cheer me up

Just as the title says, really. I feel like I've got the weight of the world on my shoulders and need to de-stress a bit. I fancy a funny film to make me laugh. What can you recommend?

I loved Hangover, Bridesmaids, Game Night, Bad Moms, Ready or Not etc so something like those, ideally.

I was feeling very anxious and unhappy at the end of last year and watched The Full Monty. Despite being quite old, it's very, very funny. Good hearted.

Recommended by someone on a thread about the last time you properly belly laughed, I watched The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent with my dad and step mum on the weekend. We all really enjoyed it.

I also enjoyed Shotgun Wedding with J Lo. It's a cheesy ridiculous film but did leave me smiling afterwards.

Crazy stupid love is one of my favourites. Thinking of less famous films, i also like Sleeping with other people.

Surreality22 · 15/02/2023 20:10

Death at a Funeral (original version) is fantastic.

NashvilleQueen · 15/02/2023 20:18

Have you seen the female Ghostbusters film? It's the best of the lot IMO.

Agree with Sideways which is absolutely hilarious but also a bit sad in places.

PleaseJustText · 15/02/2023 20:43

Oh I did like death at a funeral @Surreality22

AllOfThemWitches · 15/02/2023 20:58

Also, there's a film called 'they came together' it's kind of a satirical romcom.
