Looking for a similar moving to pride and prejudice or the notebook. Something that isn't a comedy or cheesy. Where it's not easy love, but a good ending. I need a good cry!

Lost in Translation is a great film. Agree it may be more impactful if you’ve been to Japan.

I also watched last letter to your lover on Netflix the other day it is was really good. Another Netflix one is 'love at first sight'. It was really lovely.

Or for young love Before Sunrise, 30s love Before Sunset, 40s love Before Midnight? In that order one per week or so. Don't binge straight through. The rest of us had to wait 9 years between the first two.

Posting to recommend the achingly wistful and lovely Past Lives, which is currently playing in cinemas. Really special.

Another vote for Bridges of Madison County. I cried so hard it's stuck with me ever since.

A Star is Born - Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper version. Oh my god how I cried. Husband was really concerned as I couldn't stop as the credits rolled on.

I like Captain Corelli's Mandolin. It is a great movie. I also like the French romantic film Amelie.
