What were your favourite parts of the film?
we really liked the part when they went under the church hunting for the gold, using the keys to open secret doors. However it was very predictable and unrealistic. Also when he figures out there are secret messages from his brother. However it wasn’t very emotional so it was ultimately pointless. The bit where Drake leaves the wrong co-ordinates for the girl was a funny part of the movie, because we all hate Chloe as a character and we wish she wasn’t in the movie. My 5 year old hated the bit where they nearly drowned under the fountain. He said the acting was bad. I don’t think he’ll ever watch this movie again.

Who would you recommend the film to?
Everyone, there is one bit where the rich guy gets his throat cut, but otherwise it’s fine for kids really. My 15 year old daughter said that she wouldn’t recommend it to anyone because it’s boring and probably offensive to anyone who has played the video game that the film is based on. (Edited by 15 year old)

What did other members of your family think of the film?
My 15 year old daughter was pessimistic before watching, but actually slightly enjoyed it. She thought the story was interesting however lots of characters lacked backstory and this made the characters unbelievable, Unlikeable and boring. She thought the characters like Chloe were annoying and were introduced without much reason. She said she would not watch this movie again, and she didn’t really care for it. My 13 year old son said some bits were not believable. Some more back story on the other treasure hunters would have improved things, was the overall theme from discussions after watching. Son also felt a bit more purpose to the ring on his necklace was needed. 5 year old son loved it! The treasure hunting was all a bit easy however and some more clues etc would added interest. Another thing to note is that no one in the family has played the game that this film is about, so we have no prior knowledge on the game. Overall it wasn’t anything special ‘says 15 yr old’, but it was fun watching it as a family, however the 15 year old daughter says that this movie is highly irritatingly annoying and she finds it borderline offensive. 😂

What were your favourite parts of the film? Some really clever dialogues going back and forth. Some scenes really caught my attention, like the secret messages. Some parts were not very believable....but if you take it as a "fantasy" action thriller, then you can still distance yourself from reality and enjoy watching it.
Who would you recommend the film to? Not everyone's cup of tea....so mostly people who like an action thriller, maybe.
What did other members of your family think of the film? Didn't show it to the youngest ones (below 12). My 12 year old wasn't too keen though she did watch the movie. My husband on the other hand thought it was okay, not great.
