What were your favourite parts of the film?
I liked the rapping town cryer, he was funny, the previous one- Barry, died of dysentery, 😂. We all liked the fabulous godmother and Minnie driver was the best. Overall a fun watch with som funny parts. If you like musicals you will like this. There was a bit too much auto-tuning however. James Corden turning back into a mouse was funny. Pierce Brianna was just like he was in Mama Mia.

Who would you recommend the film to?
my five year old loved it and drew pictures of the characters.

What did other members of your family think of the film? And now for my 15 year old daughters review…
What were your favourite parts of the film?
The fairy godmother bit was my favourite. Visually it was exciting and the fairy godmother was a fun character. I liked the costumes, they were colourful and individually unique, despite the fact they are obviously not historically accurate. Honestly if this movie didn’t contain colourful costumes, no one would watch it. The only reason my 5 year old brother watched it was because it was visually exciting, however this movie was awful in every other way. Everything else in this movie was mind numbingly boring and irritating. The songs were awful and it was torture listening to them. They ruined a Queen song, along with a Madonna song. Cinderellas vocals were like a cat being dragged along a motorway and every single song had auto tune and rubbish harmonies. Cinderella often went out of tune despite using autotune: How is that even possible. The only good harmonies came from a random choir that for some reason appeared in the movie. Every rap sequence made me want to die. The phrase “HERE YE HERE YE” made me feel physically ill. the dancing was rancid as well and whoever choreographed the dancing should be ashamed. The characters were boring and the only exciting thing about them was their clothing. The character I hated most was cinderella. She was so annoying, and every time she sang I wanted to punch the tv screen. As I said before I liked the fairy godmother, but also Gwen I think her name was. I don’t really remember most names because I don’t care for this movie and I had to avert my eyes from the screen half way through just so I could regain my sanity. The story was dull and predictable, but that is to be expected because Cinderella has been remade way too much. This movie had endless source material to base itself off of, and yet it failed to an astronomical extent. This movie was not original at all and every single celebrity in this movie should regret being a part of it. James cordon as a mouse brings me into a deep depression of sadness and anger. I do not like him. He made an adult joke that was so awfully awkward and unfunny that I wanted to puke. I find this movie is best described as a torture device, as that is what this movie has done to me. It has tortured me. I actually believe I have lost braincells.

Who would you recommend the film to?
no one. Not even children. It makes me sad that my 5 year old brother thinks this is what a good movie is, because it is not.

What did other members of your family think of the film?
hatred. My dad and I started watching YouTube on our phones half way through because it was that bad. My mum seems to like it which was quite worrying. My mum has very bad taste when it comes to films. My 13 year old brother also hated it as much as I. I want this movie to disappear of the face of the earth. I do not want anymore remakes of anything ever again after this movie, and I now have no hope in humanity.

We were all excited to watch this but found it incredibly dull. To be honest I found the original Cinderella Disney cartoon quite dull too. The best version I have seen is Kenneth Branagh 2015. That one was a bit too long but overall quite emotional and enjoyable.

The songs in this versionweren’t very good, and the whole story kind of put me to sleep. There was a lot of colour and diversity, which may have worked (See the new David Copperfield) but the script let it down.
