What were your favourite parts of the film?
-I loved the scenes where she stood up for herself as an adult and wrote RESPECT. I also enjoyed the scenes of her as a young child practicing her craft.
Who would you recommend the film?
-I would recommend it to other adults who enjoy Aretha Franklin’s music.
What did other members of your family think of the film?
-Both my children were bored and did not watch more than 5 minutes as this was not a children’s film.

I LOVED EVERY MINUTE!!!!! I am going to buy this for my DSD for her birthday - SUCH a great film

I started watching with my Dd12 and Ds 13, my DD stayed until the end and enjoyed it, she said she liked all the costumes worn. However my son thought it was boring and went of in the first 20 minutes to play his PlayStation. It's a serious and dark movie that deals with the main characters childhood which may not be suitable for sensitive children but it also is a feel good movie with some humour mixed in. I learned so much about Aretha Franklin's life that I never knew. I recommend this film.

What were your favourite parts of the film? I enjoyed the whole story and learnt a lot about Aretha Franklin and her life. I thought the casting was really good
Who would you recommend the film? It’s not a child friendly film although some teens could enjoy it
What did other members of your family think of the film? My husband watched and he also really enjoyed it

An amazing film, I loved every minute. It was great to see the background behind a true musical legend.
I would recommend it to any music lover.
My son didn't want to watch it as he doesn't know the music of areatha.
