Seen it last night. It's amazing! No spoilers but if you're a big die hard fan of the first one I'm sure you'll love it. I can't wait to go see it again 😍

I loved the first one as a teen but Tom Cruise gives me the ick! Not sure I could sit through it!

@Kittykatmacbill I had to take my 8 year old as I had premier tickets that I wasn't willing to give up 🙈
She loved it! She's aware of the original due to me being a fanatic but she's never actually sat and watched it right through.
There was enough funny bits to keep her amused and she was amazed with the flying (probably helps that there is a female pilot in it)

I would say you need to watch the first one as it holds a lot of the historic / iconic events.

I took my 8 year old as I had imax premier tickets too!!!

Can't wait to see it again, was truly magical to be transported back to the iconic movies of the 80's. 36 years later and done so well.

Val Kilmers part was so well done ❤️
What I did think when watching it is how well the first one had aged, there's a part in the second where one of the cast takes a selfie and it just seemed so weird to realise that in the first one the internet hadn't even been invented (I think? 😂) Never mind us all having mobile phones with cameras and access to the whole world at our fingertips.

Loved it. I think it helps to rewatch the first one before seeing it, and there are some clunky plot holes, but in all a satisfactory conclusion.

Saw it Sat evening in a packed cinema - first time I've been in anything other than an empty / half empty cinema since Covid.

Absolutely loved it. Spent the whole time grinning!

Can't get the childcare but I would genuinely see it again.

See it on the biggest screen you can!!

I go to the cinema a lot and always choose quiet times, there was maybe around 20 people in today.
I really don't like it when it's busy or when people eat

Oh though will say I struggled with the sound - dialogue was drowned out by music or noise in places and I found it v difficult to hear what was being said.
