Isn't it great? I love it, and I love the grandfather character best of all. And the gay brother.

TheFallenMadonna · 05/01/2008 22:21

I am waiting for this - it is 'high priority' on my lovefilm list and they still won't send it to me...

harpsichordcarrier · 05/01/2008 22:22

oh god it is genius
Alan Arkin is so fantastic but they all are, really really fantastic
did I say that?

what is it?

I just saw enchanted. it was not genius but it made me laugh

pooka · 05/01/2008 22:28

Oh is fantastic fantastic (little miss sunshine).
Loved the bit where the family all sort of came together while watching the contest.

BrieVinDeAlkaSeltzer · 05/01/2008 22:31

F&Z

Enchanted was not genius, but there were enough laughs in there to keep the adults tuned in. Money well spent, as opposed to Happy Clappy bash home the Green Message Feet.

See how much I approved.....

Maidamess · 05/01/2008 22:32

Franny its about a family of misfits travelling across America to get to a childrens beauty pageant. But its sooo much more than that! Can't recommend it enough.

FrannyandZooey · 05/01/2008 23:07

my word it does sound worth a look

is it on dvd or at the cinema?

Heathcliffscathy · 05/01/2008 23:08

isn't it just beautifully gorgeously painful and funny and wonderful.

i love it so much.

Heathcliffscathy · 05/01/2008 23:09

asda has it cheap.

WendyWeber · 05/01/2008 23:10

DVD - cinema was forever ago.

Agree, it is superb - I always had a bit of a thing for Alan Arkin (he was in Mash once, long long ago when he had lots of curly hair and a big tache, I got a bit confused seeing Alan Alda and Alan Arkin in the credits)

Twiglett · 05/01/2008 23:16

I am with Twig, it was mildly amusing.

But they put the fun into dysfunctional...'cept it wasn't that funny. IMO

Magdelanian · 06/01/2008 00:04

My SIL bought this film for my DD so I reluctantly watched it. It was great, not saying the best film i've seen, but was very unique. Dont want to give anything away.

smartiejake · 06/01/2008 00:11
